BSS play off games tonight - Chelmsford V Salisbury and Eastleigh v Dover I had forgotton it was over 2 legs. Chelmsford have never won a playoff match and were complete rubbish at Farnboro on Saturday against 10 men. I go with Salisbury v Dover Final. Salisbury are the best of the bunch I think?

Ha - my post is redundant now you've edited yours, OS For anyone who did not see my original post, I suggested that AndyK had the home and away sides wrong having forgotton they were over 2 legs. I thought he may have been suffering some form of playoff dyslexia. The penny dropped as I was cleaning out my pond, I rushed in to amend my post but alas it was too late, I had been caught

I hear that Eastleigh had two players sent off this evening. The Southern League play-off results (both one-off ties) were: Chesham 0 Hemel Hempstead 2 Stourbridge 1 Gosport Borough 2 So we'll be playing either Gosport or Hemel next season (assuming Hemel aren't placed in Conference North ).

I'm afraid that what Farnborough have done brings the game into disrepute - and so has the league by allowing them to get away with it. I seem to recall Leeds trying something similar some years ago when it was obvious that they were going to be relegated - but in that instance the league enforced the points deduction from the start of the next season.

Ryman Play-offs are tonight with Lowestoft v East Thurrock and Wealdstone v Concord
Are these games still played over one leg?

Yes Localboy, these ARE one off games only ( has to be a result on the night )........."if" Lowestoft win tonight, they host the final as they finished in the highest league position.

I'll go for Wealdstone v East Thurrock - the latter are on top form at the moment, and as we know, getting a result at Wealdstone is a tough thing to do.

Mmmmm, tricky ! Lowestoft will be aiming to make it 3rd time lucky having lost in the final to Tonbridge 2 seasons ago ( lost an exciting final 4-3 at Longmeadow ), and last season's final 2-1 at AFC Hornchurch.
With home advantage you'd think they "should" beat East Thurrock ( both league meetings finished as draws ), the other game could go either way........it was only a few weeks ago that Concord were 1-0 up at Grosvenor Lane with minutes remaining and lost 2-1 with Concord wanting to walk off the pitch........so I'd expect a "tasty game" there !
For me it'll be Lowestoft - Concord final..........with Lowestoft coming out on top.........."just".

I seem to recall Leeds trying something similar some years ago when it was obvious that they were going to be relegated - but in that instance the league enforced the points deduction from the start of the next season. Assuming Farnborough can do a voluntary deal with their creditors and find a buyer, and that's odds on, they have effectively got away without any punishment at all. The league have been mugged off wholesale by laughing boy whose now publicly boasting about the stunt he's pulled off. Disrepute isn't the half of it, this was planned and executed so the whole scam dropped into place just hours before the last game of the season and sets a dangerous precedent that I have no doubt others of a similar persuasion will follow in the future. I hold no brief for Truro but if I was one of their fans, having taken the points hit when it really mattered even though the league managed to string that along, i would be spitting blood.
