Ahem ... That will be the reserves who beat us 4-3 and 4-0 in pre-season?

ok a couple of things 1. I didn't realise that the replay would be played so quick. I thought that there is always a week at least before a replay or is that just in the later stages? So how many people in Sutton actually know this is going on tonight? 2. I would have gone but already have a ticket for Arsenal v Chelsea tonight. by the way the tickets for that are £10. Sutton are charging £12... anyway really hope that Sutton get through, maybe get a cup run like a couple of years ago again. Qualifying rounds always have replays being played immediately, later rounds do it differently. Whilst Arsenal are charging £10 tonight, its only because it's a League Cup game, they'll go back to extortionate prices (£65 and up) that put me off Premier League football completely once they get back to league action. Confident we can win tonight but it won't be easy. Only way I could get to Bradford or Kidderminster if we got through would be on a supporters coach... In the league those two teams usually play reserves and young players, could be the reason the ticket's are cheap

I think we will get a good crowd after seeing the interest taken up by some friends of mine. One is already going to forego watching Arsenal Chelsea on the TV (He is a Chelsea season ticket holder) to come down to GGL tonight.

Job done. Never reached the intensity of sat but never likely to. We waited a long time for that second goal from dundo which came after a rick by the keeper in the end Lovely strike from Ali for the first. Cash in the bank. With the kiddies and bpa in extra time we are still none the wiser. Shame we didn't get a kinder draw but we now have a serious chance of making the third round proper. Onwards.

Nowhere near our best but relief all round to get through. Sometimes this may be to do with oppo so credit to them, certainty get lots of players forward and quickly - hard earned clean sheet. Now to enjoy the 1st rd, hope we can give it a real good go. First up big game with Eastleigh though.

looks like we will be making the trip to Kiddy as they are now 2-0 up. I'm glad about this as its only a 40 min drive for me

Yep good result. Cracking strike by Ali. Credit to Hemel. I thought they looked like a top half Skrill South side. They certainly throw their bodies in the way of every shot. We were the better team overall. Binns made a massive difference but needs to think about what he's doing when he's cutting in. Laying the ball back for someone to slot home may be a better option than shooting at the keeper from the touchline!
Really disappointed with Slabber tonight. He looked off the pace and seemed to spend more time on his bum than his feet. Longer studs needed methinks. Infact quite a few players slipped when in goal scoring positions so they need to sort that out.
Pity I can't go to Aggborough for the first round. Nevermind roll on Saturday.
Come on you YELLOWS

This match never hit the heights of Saturday's encounter as both managers shuffled their pack.
While enjoying quite a lot of possession, particularly in the second half, Tom Lovelock was never really extended as U's held firm.
Like London Buses you wait ages and then Ali pops up with two goals in two matches although this was deflected past Walker in the HH goal. U's were bright going forward in the first half if not at their fluent best while the visitors plugged away but their best opportunities generally ended with the assistant's flag.
Second half they pushed U's back for some time but it was the home side who made the better chances with the introduction of Binnsy giving HH plenty to think about. U's should have scored after one of his runs but in the end their no 18 dwelt too long on the ball and Dundo who just doesn't stop ploughing that furrow robbed him and squeezed the ball past Walker to ensure U's 20th appearance in the competition proper.
Fair play to Hemel who kept going even when injury reduced their ranks to 10 men. They do look a decent side but I thought U's played within themselves tonight (possibly with Eastleigh in mind on Saturday) but were still good enough for the victory.
And to their visiting fans who had an arduous trip around the M25 tonight, good noise if some of it was a tad boringly aimed at U's (we might only have one song but I'd rather be the ones with the 12k and a 1st round tie to look forward to than a vast repertoire of football songs).
Job done.
