Stewart, how much time do you spend on other clubs' forums? No work today so have too much time on my hands

The attendence last night does show our difficulty in getting the message out with only one local outlet via the guardian who credit goes too for doing as much as they could. But we lack any sort of local tv or radio coverage and that makes a massive difference. We fall in a media gap, not covered by Surrey yet felt too small for London coverage. I live just over the boarderbin Kent and the situation is totally different here for the smaller clubs. BBC South East follow clubs in the FA Cup and we have radio Kent as well all give good coverage to sides like Maidstone, Tonbridge and Margate etc when there is a story to tell.

Adding to the comment on their late arrival, can I remind OS that we once left at 4pm for Kettering and arrived at approx 8.45, kicking off gone 9pm. We did win though, Jon Nurse's first goal for Sutton. So, I would endorse those comments about HH could hardly be blamed for the unpredictability of the M25 during the rush hours.
Have to say I was a tad surprised with the extra stewards being drafted in - I am sure there was a good reason as I know that we wouldn't do that generally.
Another observation from last night was the performance of the ref. Thought he did well; could have sent off the 18 but fortunately he didn't and the fella duly was robbed by Dundo for the second. Probably should have sent off Diarra for his challenge on skip but I had no reason to raise my voice to him last night other than those two points and they are arguable anyway.

I took my girlfriend along to last night's match for her first experience of Sutton. It turned out to be a fairly routine win.. And by God it was cold. Didn't expect that!
Clough was MOTM for me, outstanding. Solid like a rock!
Oh and Dundas.. That was a great moment!!
Roll on Round 1!

As someone has pointed out, damned if you do, damned if you don't - all comments have been duly noted, though.
Travel - Kettering example was an exception, not the rule - being late is normally bad luck and can happen to anyone but I regularly travel Sutton-bound from the M1 past Heathrow/M4 on the M25 and the traffic is always very heavy at 5pm, it would be the exception for it not to be; I think some are being harsh on OS and I would've left at 4pm with that apparent 'insider knowledge'! Easy to say after the event, of course.

I want to leave the subject now but the point I guess I was making is that the late arrival just added to what I saw throughout as a general lack of organisation rather then the deed itself. They couldn't even queue for tea at HT without causing mass congestion, everyone else seems to manage it

What about your girlfriend? Isn't she Eastern European, or did I make that up?
Having said that, my Lithuanian friend will routinely go home for Christmas and experience temperatures of -20C or below, then come back and complain it's cold and insist on wearing a scarf indoors. :-)

When you are in that -in between- temperature it's always worst. If you know it's going to be -20, you wrap up accordingly!! See you all tomorrow!
