We have seen a new pitch and a new name for the ground .If a Russian "businessman" or an oil sheikh were to offer to give the club a few million on condition that they changed the name of the club and/or it's colours would most of the supporters accept it ? We will have to assume for now that if we go up, our new grass pitch may not be ready until perhaps 6 to 8 weeks into the EFL season. Is that going to cause further probs?

Only read what Dos and the management post here. They have been working on various plans since last year.
Be patient and read the proposals/plans from our excellent Manager and SUFC Board of Directors!

We will have to assume for now that if we go up, our new grass pitch may not be ready until perhaps 6 to 8 weeks into the EFL season. Is that going to cause further probs? Perhaps not. The last CONIFA match we’re currently scheduled to host is on June 7th (the final is on the 9th). That would leave about 8 weeks before the first League 2 match of the season, but when I was checking the websites yesterday I got the impression that it shouldn’t take longer than 6 weeks to install. I’m sure the club have looked into that already anyway. Besides, it may be possible to ask for our first few games to be played away. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Even if we get one of the promotion places, I think the funding is going to be the bigger stumbling block. |
