Feel sorry for the people who didn’t make the transfer to Lancaster City FC yesterday, really did make the day a lot better than just going all that way for nothing, got to know some great Lancaster fans, really good food, overall not worth nearly £200 but made the day a lot better!

No need to feel sorry for us Ryan - we didn't all want to go!

The only reason why I feel sorry is because we got to see a game of football and made our day better and others didn’t

Ah well, some of us ended up doing other things that made our day better.

"We are looking at irrigation and different things, and we are starting the process of building the budget for the summer in terms of what kind of improvements we want to make ANDREW CASSON"
I suspect the Barrow chairman is confusing irrigation with drainage, and hope he knows the difference before he needs either in a hospital. Their local paper reckons the 1970s Speedway track is the source of patches of surface water. Very likely since the tracks were cambered inwards and usually cut across the corners of the football pitch.

I feel sorry for myself as there will be no SUFC TV match highlights tonight.
But I am very selfish...

Well, that was fun. Wasted day, waste of money and for what to put up with one Barrow fan being less than admirable on here (no surprise) and another who thinks 3g pitches haven't moved on from the 1980's mat on a slab of concrete (I have just heard the wheel has finally arrived in Barrow)? I had a feeling this would happen. A pretty wet week followed by predicted heavy rain (don't buy Barrow's "heavier than expected" comment on their website) surely a bit of local knowledge could have been brought into play here? And if we had played, would it not have ruined their pristine playing surface (chuckles)? Some factual incorrectness here too, as the ref only got with an hour of Holker Street before the FA Observer sent him a photo of the pond and agreed the postponement. If he hadn't we would have all made it to Barrow and that might have got a bit ugly. If only the match ref cam postpone a fixture then I am afraid this will continue to happen. It's not only the Premier League where the fans don't matter to the football authorities. Still, we could have been Charlton fans and a lot of them would have been in the ground when there match was called off. One of our number (not Steve H) did make HS and spoke to a couple of Barrow's match day staff who were "disappointed" with their club's approach to the situation, apparently. Take from that what you will. As for how many Sutton fans were travelling, does it matter if it was 120 or 60? Nope. Have to say, disappointed with some on here slagging off their fellow fans for having the audacity to have a gripe about this. Hardly surprising is it? And Billy, well, he won't even venture to the bottom of his front path these days so lunacy to him would be actually making it to the KCS let alone Barrow. Brilliant aments

I quote you here. Who is to blame? Come on, add to the debate Thank you. I havnt blamed anyone, so why are you saying I have? The situation, of people travelling 300 miles for an event to be cancelled late on isn't acceptable. Sutton have released a statement expressing their frustration, are they wrong? Should they have just said that's the way the cookie bounces and the fans who travelled should just suck it up? The post above this one does actually put it on Barrow more than anyone else has. If they've had a crap pitch for 25 years, in one of the wettest parts of the country and havnt addressed it, then maybe it is an issue. I've clearly said the situation isn't on, if you wanna debate why it isn't a problem fine, but you seem to want to misrepresent people and start an argument when people have valid reasons to be naffed off Well look at your post again. You are clearly looking for someone or something to blame. Yes you clearly said it's not on but there is no suggestion on improvements. Like I said in my first response the initial frustration will cause people to react strongly and probably harshly. If you take that as misrepresenting anything then I'm sorry we won't have a reasonable debate as clearly you don't want to be anything but reasonable. At the end of the day when the fixtures came out I'm sure many of us were thinking this one was the most likely to be postponed. And true to form it was. Many of us including me were inconvenienced but has anyone died? Has anyone lost their job or home through this inconvenience? But it happens. Bigger issues at Eastleigh earlier in the season where Chester turned up to have their game called off and that was more due to incompetence there than at Barrow. We're not the only ones who this will happen to and to make it a big drama is pretty narrow minded I think. Time to move on and focus on what could well be our toughest game of the season. Small crumb of comfort is that we didn't pick up any injuries or suspensions on Saturday so may well have improved our chances.

Fantastic stuff. Yeah best we leave it there before you complete the set of doing everything you are accusing me of (incorrectly as well). Have a good week and don't get too upset if your lottery numbers don't come up!

I'm struggling to get downstairs in the mornings lately never mind going to GGL and sitting in the stand with hardly any leg room. Since the manager made a crack about me choosing to watch the game on TV last week a few others have chosen to do the same by making similar comments.I suppose, though reluctant to do so,i should explain. I have chronic osteoarthritis,a legacy of my footballing days.My right hip (replaced in 1994) is not too bad. However,my left hip (replaced in 1996) and my left knee (replaced in 2000) both need doing again and cause me lots of problems. I hope to attend the Guiseley game.If i'm not up to it should i send in a Doctor's certificate ?
