Got to be a big doubt whether this will go ahead on Saturday but i'm keeping my fingers crossed as i've already bought my train tickets. No further snow expected there now until after Saturday so will depend how quickly it thaws or if they can clear the pitch.

Seeing as FCHT follow me on Twitter I have them a quick message asking the current pitch condition and they said there are covers on the pitch but apparently it’s colder than the covers can handle so....

I just cannot find any logical reason to suggest this match will go ahead. The pitch is frozen, and temps are due to stay below freezing, with snow forecast right up until Saturday. Even if the pitch was somehow playable how would anyone get there? Aliens landing has to be a better bet??

I didn’t indicate any reason that the covers would help the game go ahead but I don’t think it will go ahead but the club said it will be announced tomorrow. We are not going even though we have train tickets booked, ain’t taking any risks...

Doubtless the first of many: Chester v Bromley has been postponed from Saturday.
Meanwhile, FC Halifax Town have tweeted that for the second day running their office is closed because of snow. Not promising!

Rumours on the National League facebook fans site that Halifax will call off lunchtime tomorrow when permitted to do so by the FA
Guiseley just down the road is off already

Rumours on the National League facebook fans site that Halifax will call off lunchtime tomorrow when permitted to do so by the FA Guiseley just down the road is off already Why do the need permission from the FA when other clubs have already called their games off? Games at Ebbsfleet, Maidenhead and Tranmere also off

Intriguingly, Halifax have today posted a preview of Saturday's game on their website. No mention of the weather! www.fcht.co.uk/

The game is pretty much garunteed to be off, looks like SCR might have a large attendance on Saturday if that goes ahead which I can heavily believe in due to the quality of our pitch.
