Barrow v Eastleigh is now off. Now seems there's only one game left on. Dover v Leyton Orient. They have survived the snow with protective covers. Rain may still kill that off though...

Well we ain’t in the 1960’s anymore and even if the pitch was playable, they have to make sure the ground is safe so.....

The criteria used to be that if you could see all the pitch lines and the ground wasn't icy then the match would go ahead.

That was quite a famous game.It always springs to my mind when we experience the current weather conditions.I did post it a few years back but thought some people might find it interesting.

I remember him well ! He took the place of Harry Dowd.City won the league that year after United somehow managed to lose 4 home games towards the back end of the campaign, one of them 1-3 against City. Still,United won the European Cup.I went to the final ,it cost me ten bob (50p)

Anyone else see the tweet and photo of The Shay on this day back in 1963 .......... They hadn't had a home game since December due to the weather, so in order to get some money, ANY money, they opened it up in March as an Ice Skating Rink

Sutton United reached the Amateur Cup final in 1963 after that hard winter. Not sure how their games panned out leading to Wembley but in the FA Cup the 3rd,4th,5th and 6th rounds were all played in March.

Halifax is close enough to Fylde to almost make it not worth coming home in between!
