Watch the disallowed goal again on TV delboy. The score on the bottom left goes from 0-2 to 0-3 then to 0-4 when they showed a replay ! Then back to 0-2.

Always difficult to criticize when our team is in such a wonderful position, so I wont. Bromley deserved the victory today, for what ever reason we were simply no at the party. Another one not there was the ref, who just about got every important decision wrong, and in some style. I do think that we are missing Bailey, and that is 8 goals conceded in 2 and a half matches, although 3 of them didn't count they still went in, and is something that needs looking at.. No grumble from me, the team has done well enough over the season to deserve a break when they do put in a poor showing. I am sure their pride and ability will see us through Would you have called for the match to be played again if Sutton had won 3-2 ?

Why is the 4th official making decisions ? I understand that a fourth official is entitled to draw the referee's attention to an offence which the referee has missed. In this case, the fourth official was over half the width of the pitch away from the incident. From that distance it did look as if JC stamped on the prone Bromley player. But the zoomed-in footage showed that Jamie was just extricating his foot from the scissor-grip of his opponent's legs. I'd be very surprised if the red card isn't rescinded on appeal.

Just a brief one from me until I get more time.
Bromley's performance, probably the best from an away side at GGL this year. Went a goal up, defended well and with their no 9 (Hanlon - where did they get him from?) an absolute handful all afternoon had the perfect outlet on the break.
Their second goal was a farce from our point of view as all but Craig E committed into the penalty area from a corner. The rules state that if a player is deemed to go for the ball but brings down the player instead when in a DOGSO situation and in doing so gives away a pen, it is a yellow (double jeopardy). My view was obscured so can't comment.
With regards their disallowed goal the fella was apparently well on side so a terrible decision. Lino didn't flag for it either.
With regards skip's red, that was utter bollocks. He didn't stand on the 23 and was trying to get away from him as he had both his legs and feet trapping JC from moving. It is coming to something when a non-participant official can make a judgement call of that type without the use of VARS when he is half the width of a pitch away. If that is how we are going then you can stuff it right back down FIFA, UEFA and the FA's sanctimonious throats. As for the 4th official (from the same county as our opponents btw) what a jumped up tosser he must be if he thinks he got that right. I had a fine view of the incident without the aid of TV cameras and if anyone was the aggressor at that moment it was the no 23. The BT footage apparently backs that up too.
Fortunately, none of the many errors by the officials today, effected the result which quite correctly went in favour of Bromley. Will have to check but I think their biggest win at GGL in over 50 years; their season for making up for lost time it would seem.
I suspect that may have ended our hopes of the title but to even be considering that possibility shows how far this club has come in three very short seasons.
I end with a dig at Mr Hair. He is absolutely crap and to perform like that on TV must be a personal embarrassment for him. No sympathy as he has performed similarly before when we have had him and been slaughtered on other forums and given very low marks by the NLP (not always the best guide mind you). Not good enough for NL level on a consistent basis; back to the NLS one would hope.
Onto Fylde and a need to regroup and let's hope that common sense prevails with regards to JC's red.

I haven't read all the thread but I agree that 4 centre backs seems a ridiculous idea.
I wondered though why we don't seem to like a back 3. Have we ever tried it? I can't remember it happening. Jamie, Terryl and Dean maybe with Louis (as Dos seems to be so keen to play him at right back) pushing up as a wing back with Aswad on the left.

Mr Doswell has done a great job for the past 10 years in picking his team.Let's leave it to him and his close confidants.

We would not normally do this so early but as the match was on live TV today, we have decided to show you the JC incident now so you don't have to wait for the highlights: One thing to say is a real hats off to JC for leaving the pitch so professionally when he knew he did nothing wrong. Many players would have been going loopy, but his actions really shows what a top player he is..

JC is a class act. He was so calm and collected after what is arguably the worse red card decision I have ever witnessed, it took the chaps behind me several minutes to even realise he'd been sent off.

So much for a stamp. Utter joke and the only stamp involved will be sending in our appeal to the fa. Collins back at centre half next week please!

Disappointed sums up my feelings & certainly Dos's in his after match interview on BT. Having had the benefit of watching the match back i feel that Harrison should have shot after 4 minutes instead of trying to place the ball.A natural striker would do that without hesitation. 1-0 Sutton different game entirely. Beckwith should have cleared the ball when it came into the box and they would not have scored. On such moment matches are decided but it was bizarre that we left no one back to defend after we had a corner ! I have no problem with the back four unlike others and think they are doing well. I would like to wait until Tuesday week before conceding the title to Macclesfield as two wins for us against Fylde & Halifax together with two defeats for Macca at Ebbsfleet & Boreham Wood would throw the title race open again. Let's still be positive despite today. Delboy I'm not being horrible I promise but the number of times you must have rolled out the "not a natural striker" line over the years I doubt that even Messi would measure up if he had an off day, ha ha! Cracking goal for Max today, I would like to think that he didn't measure up either

Natural strikers are like gold dust, get snapped up by the Football league clubs & cost a lot. I would love to have that Bromley No 9 yesterday. He was a real handful with pace & power. i think that if Byron had taken that golden opportunity it would have been a completely different game.

Bromley's no.9, Brandon Hanlan, is on loan from Charlton.
Charlton loanees have a habit of causing us problems. Another, Regan Charles-Cook, has scored against Sutton for both Solihull Moors and Woking.

For those who like a stat; this was Bromley's best win at GGL since they won 4-1 in April 1964.
