All the comings and goings I've lost track of who we've currently got in our squad.
Does anyone have an update?

I would imagine that we'll have a number of trialists that we'll be looking at during the pre-season friendlies. In the last couple of years that has resulted in us signing Max Biamou and Josh Taylor. Whilst I haven’t looked this up I have got the impression our use of trialists has been much reduced over the last couple of seasons. Maybe a couple in a certain position but generally we’ve known our squad bar 1 or 2 spots by pre season. I can only see trialists, if any, being attack minded given the make up of our squad. Behind the scenes of course there may be negotiations ongoing.

Ross is out on loan for the season and Dos said he could borrow cover if he needed it.

The 2017-18 points per appearance average. FA Cup and FA Trophy games included with 3 points for a win. Interpretation at your option, but it may seem to bear a relationship to departures. All game club average was 1.73.

Who cares about stats? It's never a true reflection on their performances.
And how many games did Egan play?

Who cares about stats? It's never a true reflection on their performances. And how many games did Egan play? As I wrote 'interpretation at your option.' I just crunch the numbers. In answer to your questions: Its my belief that more people in football management look at stats today than in the past, possibly because collation is now simple. Egan played 4 games in his month loan: 3 wins and a loss, as did Evans.

Apart from Simon Downer, which outfield players can take over in goal in an emergency?

Hard to tell on one game and a PSF at that, but he certainly looked the part. If that turns out to be so, we’ve had a great transfer period. On the face of it I feel we have a better squad this season than last. Any advance on 3rd place?

I’d be happy with retaining our status. Top half good, play offs excellent. As always a little cup run would be nice. FA Cup prize money I think has doubled for all rounds so that becomes even more important for bringing in some welcome funds.

I know we've strengthened our squad but it's all relative to the teams around us. I would expect Fylde to be serious contenders this season, not to mention the very heavily backed Salford, plus Chesterfield and Barnet thrown into the mix. The closeness of the title run in last season was virtually unprecedented. Under the circumstances, another top 7 finish would be an incredible achievement, but I certainly wouldn't expect it. A lot depends of course on whether or not we go on a cup run. So many variables to consider. Can't wait.
