When I first told my Scottish husband about being invited to play in this competition his immediate response was "Ha ha, you'll have to go to Peterhead."

I did chuckle slightly at the Boreham Wood chairman's comments. Slightly? Really? 🤣

Prefer Ross County at Dingwall for next game on 13/14th if away as I’ll be in Fort Augustus for a few weeks 🤔🏴

Has anyone played in all 4 home countries in one season before?

Dos called this right. A very even match up and a game that was settled by a piece of superb work from Tommy Wright. Both sides tried to pass the ball and I didn't think it was scrappy. Just two well-matched teams endeavouring to play the right way.
Tommy deserved his goal with tireless running and forced another fine save from the home 'keeper. At the other end, the returning Ross Worner reminded the Sutton fans of how good he is with some fine saves of his own. But for a couple of lapses the U's back line impressed with Nicky Bailey having a fine game at right back (it was a welcome surprise to see his return) and skip and Dean B renewing their well drilled centre back pairing.
U's had no obvious holding midfield player at the start so this was a departure from the norm.
What all the above proves is what a fine squad we have. Dale B, Jamie B, Cloughie and Ross L resting at home but still Dos was able to field a strong unit particularly in the defensive area. The shape of the team was good.
Aidrie weren't a bad team but perhaps didn't have the defence U's had and certainly they didn't have a Tommy Wright.
The ref was typical NL standard too. Missing some stuff, allowing a few heavy challenges to go. He got a bit card happy towards the end too.
Airdrie is a bit grey. The houses and for much of the afternoon, the sky too. It was brightened up by the locals though who were excellent both before and after. Very welcoming and they added to the trip.
A fine turn out from the U's faithful too. In interview with a guy from BBC radio London before the match I guessed at anything between 75 and 120, so the 101 was not far off the middle of that. Well done to all.
As for Easyjet, crap going out but fine coming back. I am not a frequent flyer but the one hour plus delay because the designated aircraft became unavailable and a smaller one was allotted thus leaving some passengers without a seat was a farce. The rest of the experience, security etc was fine, although forgetting to remove my watch on the way out resulted in an extra check.
All in all, this historic trip - giving an English club its first win in the competition - was a an enjoyable diversion from the NL fixture list, although, for me, I'd like a home draw in the next round.
Onto Havant & W and back to the bread and butter.

Yours would be wrong, unless you added a second comma after Sutton

Some of us are still in bloody Glashow while the engineers try to get the plane working. 😡 Oh dear, maybe the coach choice was a good one. However you can’t please everyone, as we arrived back in Victoria this morning a miserable passenger complained due to the late arrival. Inverness to London and the coach was 15 minuets late
