Spennymoor have an important home game tonight against Kidderminster, which hopefully will give us an advantage of being fresher come Saturday.
Just have to hope the pitch doesn't get ruined!!

Spennymoor beat Kidderminster 2 1 tonight, albeit that kiddy had a lot of injuries. The trophy lost 3 more national league sides tonight too. Havant went out at home to Dover, Maidenhead lost in extra time at home to Oxford City and Braintree went out away to Salisbury.

I see the Bobbins fought back from 1-3 down against Barnet on Saturday to earn a very creditable 3-3 draw. Did anyone here go to the game?

The winner of that game go to either Ramsbottom of Fylde in the next round. If we were still in we'd be facing a mouth watering trip to Hemel of Solihull. Not quite sure how well sarcasm comes across on here.

I see the Bobbins fought back from 1-3 down against Barnet on Saturday to earn a very creditable 3-3 draw. Did anyone here go to the game? From the Barnet forum: I thought that Carshalton were a very good side. Lots of pace and skill. Either the other teams in their league are much better or they were playing above themselves yesterday. In the first half they just set up a solid defence and hoped to get a breakaway chance. We helped them by our laboured slow attack instead of chipping the ball over and running on to it, as we did for EMC’s goal.
Second half they knew that they had to go for it. Ricky Korboa came on and it’s amazing he’s playing for a club at Carshalton’s level. He was brilliant.
DC handed them the game on a plate by taking off Sweeney and Taylor, the two players who do the most to mop up attacks. It’s said that he was saving them for Tuesday but why? If we’re honest we’re not likely to win so the priority should have been to secure the game yesterday. I was talking to DC on Friday and he said that getting to Wembley via the FA Trophy was a very high priority for him.
Carshalton had some tall players so taking Sweeney off immediately made us more vulnerable to set pieces, as it proved to be. Instead of managing the game we continued to press forward leaving nobody at the back so they got the ball and always looked like scoring.
Bringing Sparkes on was a desperate hope that he’d repeat his heroics from Monday and as for Harrison – aarrrrgggghhh! Tutunda should have come on.
We must win the replay, you’d think, but if DC doesn’t learn quickly we’ll be in trouble. My fear is that we’re likely to just finish mid table and then in the summer we’ll lose Taylor, Shaq and Sweeney which will mean even longer on the National League.

Sutton through and through. Find it difficult to go to any game as a neutral. That's why I have no interest in SCR. Good luck to them and all that but I'd never go to a game if there was a Sutton one on or have any interest of going if there wasn't one on. Although could be putting my head on the block here saying that there's probably a number of Sutton fans who wouldn't have any interest in them either if they were not our tenants! The only time I'd ever go to a bobbins game is if they were playing Sutton.

I went. I may be a Sutton supporter but I like to watch other teams. Saturday was my 7th visit to the Bobbins this season in my total of 105 games so far. The first half totally belonged to Barnet and when they went in at half time 2-0 up it seemed game over. But the Bobbins came out for the second half a different team, really took the game to Barnet and were good value for the draw. I agree though with the comments repeated by Stewart, the Barnet subtitutions helped the home team.
Each to his own, of course, but Iv'e never really understood how peole only enjoy watching one team. I'll be at Whyteleafe v Cray Wanderers tomorrow and Merstham v Bognor on Wednesday.

What nonsense you must be living in the past!!
About 20 Sutton supporters attended this game and the 2nd half was a brilliant game of cup football, just ask Micky Stephens.
Very friendly Club atmosphere which also gave us time to also talk with the visiting Barnet supporters. I look forward to seeing those people again, segregation permitting, next Saturday or is that forbidden ??
First half Carshalton banked their defence far to deeply and were overrun by Barnet only scoring 2 quick goals in last 5 mins.
Second half totally different 3 upfront and an exciting winger Ricky appeared, tore the Barnet defence apart admittedly after Sweeney and Taylor were substituted when the score was 1-3. Barnet's 3rd goal was an absolute screamer about 25 yards out, you will soon be able to see highlights on YouTube.
Barnet's main weakness was defending corners and dealing with fast wingers.
All in all a great afternoon of football and only cost £6.
My day was completely made by watching England stuff Ireland in Rugby.

I've never seen the Bobbins play but if they get past Barnet in the replay I may well do so, provided it doesn't clash with a more important game...
