If we put in a solid performance and do the basics right again, our current squad should be good enough to beat Aveley. They may have strenghtened with one or two players, but we should be able to deal with that.
My only concern is that without Bradley our attack may not be as dynamic as it should be. Hopefully either he is fit to play or it will not be too much of a problem.
Lowestoft have a tricky game at Tonbridge today so 3 points is a must to keep the pressure on them. C'mon lads, let do this!!!

BWG out according to twitter. Big day for Lowestoft. If they win at Tonbridge I think they become strong favourites and we'd certainly have to beat them in 2 weeks time to stay in the hunt. Despite the fact Tonbridge are going well at the mo if anyone was to win that one I hope it is them.
Anyway I'm getting ahead of myself. Aveley wil be strong and physical. We'll need to win the battle as well as play some decent football to win this one. Let's hope someone else can provide the spark today!

Aveley 6.75 to win on Bwin today. If I wasn't a Sutton fan I'd be tempted by that, big odds for a game that has only three possible outcomes.
Not that I think we'll lose if we start strongly and get at Aveley. We've only struggled when we've given teams time to settle into their game plan and get comfortable with what they have (particularly if we've gifted them a goal) whereas when we get at teams from the start we do well.
If it looks like they're settling for a point, make them earn it, if they come to win, have faith in our ability to beat them in a more open and free flowing game.
Regards Lowestoft, they still have to play Bury twice and ourselves which could have a detrimental impact on their campaign.

I believe Lowestoft have it in the bag and we need to consolidate a play off place - sorry to be so negative - just a feeling !

I'll wait until they've played the same as us and seen how many points they have in the bag before I make judgement.

KBB Agree they are favourites but can hardly say it's in the bag whilst they are 7 points off the top. Very early days for them and could change quite quickly with a couple of defeats. Let's see how they go today.

How can Lowestoft have it in the bag??? They don't have the points yet. If they are put under pressure they may buckle, in which case we would be in the driving seat.
We can not afford to think this way, especially at this time in the season!
