And your point being? Irrelevant to the statement issued by the club, and if you want to have those conversations, there's a thread already available for that.

A running mate of mine in his early 70s just had a call from Chris Robsure from the Quin’s to see how he was and if the Quin’s could help in anyway! What a great gesture from his rugby club 👏🏻
Let’s hope professional football clubs can follow suit!

I like all the toilet-roll keepy-uppy video clips on twitter. Kenny Davis managed 20, which is quite impressive. I just tried it a few times and the best I could do was four! It is not easy.

I managed one, but then nervous excitement got to me and I had to use the roll.

How safe do you feel when you go out, would you go to a Sutton home match if there was one on Saturday?

No I would not go, I think we played 1 match too many in March. Football should only be played when all feel safe and we are way off that at the moment.

I feel reasonably OK when I go out but I'm not especially risk averse. But in terms of C-Virus it's far too soon to think about crowds at football matches. Crowds at football are very low on the lifting of restrictions agenda, along with clubs, pubs and music venues. That it won't happen this year is more likely than not.
Having said that, the idea that there will come a point at which 'all feel safe' just isn't going to happen. The virus can be brought under more control and may become less virulent, over time. But it's not going to disappear and there's no magic bullet. So, it'll be a case of risk assessment. It'll be one danger among the others we face, daily, and I think it would be best if we get used to that idea. Or we really will lose big chunks of the fabric of our society.

I would go but I would wear a mask. I suspect the way things are going (providing there isn't a spike in the next few weeks with the idiots that clogged the beaches and the protesters that didn't social distance) that we will see football at our level in September. Cases are dropping quickly now. There were 13 new cases in Sutton for the week before last.
I suspect crowds will be limited so perhaps if you haven't bought a season ticket for next season then before the end of June it would be a good idea, as it may be that only season ticket holders will be able to gain entry.
If it does start in say September that's still 6 months that we would have been without footy when normally it's only a couple of months in the summer when I have cricket, golf and holidays to normally occupy my mind.

To answer my own question. I feel ok outside and I'm not worried by walking or running past people in the street or countryside. I'm not so keen being inside shops and would certainly not get on a busy bus or train. As for football, I would go to that match ensuring I kept some social distance, if that was possible.

Boreham wood supporters will be fine then, plenty of room for 2m. I would go to a match if it was tomorrow, it's outdoors and GGL is fairly spacious. I think theres far too much fear out there and too many people have let the media work them up into a frenzy of terror. Be sensible, take precautions and try and live your life but that's my opinion and we're a long way away from 500+ people events resuming.

Agree with Baboonfish, by and large. I do have to make bus and tube journeys and I'd consider outdooors at GGL far lower risk. And, as I posted before, we will have to accept some level of continued risk, sooner or later.
But the Govt. aren't going to green light this anytime soon. One also assumes that the bars would stay closed. Toilets would have to be open, which is a little problematic. Additionally, not eveyone will spend the afternoon keeping the distance from you that you might be comfortable with. And if it chucks down do we huddle up under the covered sections or allow ourselves to get soaked? That would be an interesting call.
