Thanks AB. Astonishing amounts to do just this season! Hope we can get everything done. Great that we’ll be able to take advantage of bigger numbers in the away end. Should pay for itself hopefully in a reasonable timeframe assuming we stay at (or above!!) this level.

A brilliant update from AB as usual - he's so articulate and natural in front of the camera. I don't think unless i'm mistaken if he ever actually quantified the ultimate overall total ground capacity by April/ beginning of next season. We may need as much capacity as possible in January for fingers crossed the visit of Chelsea/ Man U /Man City/Liverpool in the FA Cup!

Hi, the target is 5,000 total capacity for next season including 1,000 seats. The actual figures might be marginally over those.

Hi, the target is 5,000 total capacity for next season including 1,000 seats. The actual figures might be marginally over those. IF we managed the unimaginable and got promotion again will we be able to comply with league one requirements which one presumes are even higher than league 2?

Strangely not. It is a time-based requirement. 10,000 capacity and 2,000 seats by season 3 in the EFL. (I think !!)

I remember when I first started going to Sutton United games, the capacity was much larger than it is now. Wasn't it 14,000 when we played Leeds in the FA Cup in 1970 - albeit with the aid of some temporary structures? Mind you, I don't think that there would be any chance that the lay out of the terracing in those days would meet today's more modern safety requirements. I think that it was Dos who primarily drove the initiative to reduce the capacity - with the aim of improving the atmosphere at home games by having spectators closer to the pitch (I can remember watching matches on high steep terracing a long way from the pitch at the Collingwood Road end). Now it seems we are going full circle. It seems like quite a challenge to meet the 5,000 capacity and 1,000 seats requirement with tweaks and add-ons. If Dave F is correct (and I'm sure he is), having to meet a requirement to double that by season 3 seems unimaginable to me right now. I'm sure that the Board will be thinking about this already. Prior to moving to their new ground, AFC Wimbledon spent a number of years as an EFL club playing at Kingsmeadow. While I'm pretty sure that Kingsmeadow met the 2,000 seats requirement, I think that the overall capacity of Kingsmeadow is less than 5,000?

Yes 10000 by year 3 does seem overly challenging . E. G. AFC Wimbledon's brand new ground only has capacity of 9215 and they have been in EFL since 2016.
