Here we are just a few days before the start of an exciting new season. I think we more or less saw our starting eleven at the beginning of the Bromley game. I have a few worries about a couple of positions but i'm sure as the season progresses Sutton will evolve and i'm hoping Matt can get in new players before the transfer deadline.

I, like you Del, have some reservations about a couple of our positions. The pre-season friendlies were a right old mix of performances, although it is hard to read too much into any PSF result (and, for that matter, general performance) as we do not know what instructions the team was following, whether players were asked to specifically follow rigid game plans, etc, etc. However, as much as a few players have obviously hit the ground running (Will R the stand out) there were others that didn’t. Obviously early days, and plenty of time for a slow starter to getup to speed.
As for Saturday’s match, a score draw will be my prediction.

I have no reservations at all. I don't think we can read anything into the PSFs. If Matt thinks we're ready and are going to be competitive, I can't disagree with that. A few players did really impress me in PS (Randall for sure, but then I'm sure Stewart will tell you how much I rate him anyway, Wilson and Smith) but all of that was the rehearsal, and one where we obviously don't play against those who will be our competitors in the league this season. The first night of the Proms starts on Saturday, and then we'll only be as good as the night before.
We've lost a couple of first team regulars, but we've kept the majority of last seasons squad. There's no reason to think at this stage that we will perform significantly different to last season - either above or below. But as we were closer to the top than the bottom, that's not a big issue.
For those looking at the two very different milestones of 50 points and 76 points we would need to average 1.09 and 1.65 points per game respectively to reach them.

I think the first aim is 50 points.( as per Matt's target last season) Then go from there. Hopefully a top 7 position!! But will settle for mid league. Good luck to the squad etc.

Another beautiful day tomorrow.
2nd season syndrome - lazy journalism.
What a load of nonsense.
Tight but not tight enough:
SU 3 v 1 Newport County

Just looked on the official site, it's there. Read all about it!! Sounds good but surely there has always been an unofficial fans zone outside the bars anyway?? I thought the issue about buying a drink was that you no longer can at half time, and this still seems as though it will be the case.

No it’s draught not canned so you’ll be OK👍😂 No I’m not talking about cans All I’m saying is that we have always had a kind of fans zone outside the bars in the car park where people stand with pints. I’m not sure this is going to change anything? It is just that since we got in league 2 you are not able to return here at half time.
