There have been a few occasions when we've been on the receiving end of an upset. Unfortunately for personal reasons I won't be able to go because of the strike chaos. I knw it's been called off but railways will be unreliable.

Bonfire night the last time we played on bonfire night in the 1st RD of the cup (MARK - can tell me if I am incorrect) we scored 6! So….🎈⚽️ SU 6 v 0 Farnborough See you all ggl👋 Unfortunately incorrect Sol, the last time that we played on Bonfire Night in the 1st Round of the cup was 1-0 away loss at Cambridge United which was a Sunday. You are correct though that the last time we played on Bonfire Night on a Saturday we won 6-3 at Dartford

Not a single chance that we’ll do anything but full strength. What an odd thought. FA Cup is huge still for us, an opportunity for glory and an opportunity for an unexpected windfall with the right draw later on. Hope we can get a result, we’re still a tough side to play at home so if we play well have a good chance.

With the absence of Adam Lovett I expect Rob Milsom in midfield with Sam Hart left back. Kylian Koassi to start alongside Donovan Wilson.

Didn’t go to plan. A disappointing loss to say the least. Yet again we’ve not been clinical enough in front of goal. Don’t take your chances you lose games. We need to pick ourselves up quickly for the league stuff. Well done to Farnborough, great result for them and hopefully they can get a good draw.

So….🎈⚽️ SU 6 v 0 Farnborough See you all ggl 👋 Congratulations to Farnborough - and apologies for the lack of respect shown to them by some posters on this board. Perhaps the saddest thing about this result from a Sutton perspective is that it isn't really a surprise. Farnborough came into this game on better form than us - and both sides contained some players of Tier 6 quality. If anything positive is to come from this result, I hope that Matt is given some funds in January to invest in the quality of player needed to keep us in the EFL (although this has been made less likely by missing out on the income that would have come from a run in the FA Cup). If not, we could be meeting Farnborough again in a league match sooner rather than later).

How many more excuses? Yes we are without players through injury. There is huff and puff. But that is about all. Today we should have had the game sown up in the first half. But yet again instead of shooting we try to walk the ball in. No Wingers again. There were only two players of note today SAM and EASTY. Why we use The so called training centre I don't know because not a lot comes out of it. Same old plan one with nothing else. Same late use of subs. I could say that this is my opinion and others will shoot me down. But this is my views as I have seen over the past weeks.

I thought we would loose this game so not much of an upset too me. Yes we have a lot off injuries but we should have done better especially in the second half. Questions do need to be asked about this team now and Me thinks some changes need too be made in January. Coby row was asked in a resent interview why we were struggling and he said personnel, so I do think again in January some changes need to be made. Yes there keeper might of had a good game, thats football. Matt will sort this out to good a manager not to. So all U’s fans keep the fave. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Is there any reason why Kendall and/or Tope didn’t start today? All well and good saying players aren’t taking chances but it’s been happening all season yet these lads barely get the chance from the start

For me, especially the 2nd half was by far the worst Sutton performance I've seen under Matt. Farnborough were not especially a strong side but any team would have beaten us today.
Hardly any player out there covered themselves in glory, but I did think Milsom, Randall and Kouassi were especially poor. In fact it would probably be easier to say any player that played ok. Eastmond. Pretty much it.
Whilst in the first half we were unlucky in front of goal (at least 3 goal line clearances), the thing that really struck home for me (and has been apparent for quite a lot of the season) was how bad our passing was. The number of times we gifted Farnborough possession was shocking, and add the two goals, we totally gift wrapped them a victory.
Everything that's going wrong in the season for us was on full display today. Injuries, poor in front of goal, poor passing, the inability to see a game out, a lack of substitutes to change a game, unable to change tactics to suit the game and predictably.
We've only got ourselves to blame that we're not in the hat on Monday. Until we address some of the issues above we're going to end up making those same mistakes.

Absolutely shocking. The worst we’ve played for a long time. Credit to Farnborough though who were very solid at the back.
Shot shy Sutton again. Kizzi had a glorious chance but chose to pass it. He, as well as others were awful. What is wrong with their touch? Can’t control the ball at all.
For me Donovan and Easty were our best players. The other outfield players were shocking. After Kylian’s superb half against Northampton I’m not sure he won a header today.
If we don’t up our game we will be battered by Bradford next week.
As for getting players in, not a chance unless someone wants to give us a nice bit of dosh

Oh and whose bright idea was it to allow Lovatt to play for Dartford in the FACup? We missed him today

Having read the other earlier posts,it seems Iam not the only one with the same views. Suggestion.Close the training centre ( not fit for purpose)and spend the money saved on new players in January!!? As been said we could be playing Farnborough in the National league next season if things don't improve. ( I hope not!! )

You have to ask how exactly Matt is going to improve these players ball control and passing when it should be already there in players at this level? Do we play all the long ball stuff because he's worried that if we play more than 4 passes we'd undoubtedly lose possession? I actually have a concern that any player we look to bring in in January to improve us might look at our style of play and think - not for me thank you.
At least we were spared the endless target man hoofing stuff today but it wasn't exactly an improvement on Plan A was it.
