Amazingly no bookings at all, considering the ref.

Not sure if that was any advert for L2 football but I'll gladly take the points. We needed that.
Thought Rose had a good game and Kouassi is growing into the 'Omar' role. Ecouraging.
Ref. had quite a good one. (ducks...)

Ref. had quite a good one. (ducks...) I'd take that score and match every week from now on. We certainly needed that, especially the players. It's those things that can turn a season around. And I agree. Allison actually showed one of the better reffing displays we've seen this season.

Yes, ref kept a lid on it, worth a pat on the back.
Both average teams served up a below average game.
3 points, thank you. Rochdale worth a point.
My bugbear is not playing to Wilson’s strengths. I noticed just the one ball to his feet as he faced goal on the last defender’s shoulder.
Up against a better team we would have lost.
I’m not a hater, not negative, just a realist. Defended well against a last 20 onslaught.
A little more positive about the rest of the season. Positive ending…

Very important 3 points. Was never going to be pretty but we got over the line and concentrated to the last kick. Fantastic effort in current circumstances. And we got a wee bit of luck that has been absent.
Despite our stretched resources we still have enough to be competitive against most, particularly at home.
Keep fighting, keeping sticking together and hopefully bodies back before Christmas. Lots of solid performances today, we toughed it out. This group is as mentally as tough as there is and that will see us right.
Lovatt continues to do well.

Yep, a big 3 points, we were due the rub of the green in a 50/50 type match and we finally got that.
We have tried a combination of strikers and yet again none get on the scoresheet, one wonders if it is the service to them?
Yes the squad is stretched but in recent weeks we have tried all attacking combinations to no avail. Its not that they are not working hard, its not that they can't score, I know Donny can put away chances, but nothing seems to fall to him right?

A very important win, just about deserved. A little bit of good fortune with the goal, but hopefully it’ll give the team a bit of confidence. Not a game to live long in the memory with almost no clearcut chances at either end (a bad Rochdale miss with a free header excepted)
One slight surprise to me was the attendance of 2,954 which was less than 400 fewer than the previous week against Bradford.

Presumably boosted by offer to STH’s of higher league clubs. Good offer I think.
Read on the Rochdale forum one was saying that was probably their best starting team, which puts things in perspective. .

Amusing that someone on their forum still managed to refer to us as a 'pub team', even after coming off worst to us during our biggest ever injury crisis. People are still going to be calling us a 'pub team' if we spend 10 consecutive seasons in L2, aren't they?

Let's face it, we were lucky to win this. A goal direct from a corner is not something you plan for in training. But, given our rotten luck in recent weeks, perhaps we were due some good fortune.
Rochdale dominated possession in the second half but, like us, were ineffective in front of goal. We played more like an away team, threatening intermittently on the break. Donovan Wilson had a presentable chance in each half but fired wide on both occasions. Kylian's close-range header dropped into their keeper's hands. Rob Milsom hit a post. Maybe Omar would have done better.
Still, we're now nine points clear of the bottom two. The comfort of mid-table obscurity beckons.

We will be in L1 after spending 10 consecutive seasons in L2 as we get promotion every 10 years, look at our previous results, but we will still be a ‘pub team’ 🤣😂🤭

Well i enjoyed the game. Rochdale didn't have many chances and Wil's fabulous corner won us the match. You can practice this. Just watch Douglas Luiz.
Special mention to Lovatt who never stopped running all afternoon, Wil for his goal and often showing us his flair and Kizzi who was very solid at the back.
Not sure what sort of team we can put out at Plough lane on Tuesday but Wimbledon have been improving of late.

Very good shout about Kizzi - thought he had a really good game too, and certainly in with a shout of MoM
