I was very impressed with him last season and thought he would be great for us this season but I fear that his head has been turned by greedy people and he is probably not one of Matt's favourite people. I strongly suspect that Matt is not one to bear grudges. With the new signings and the likes of Kassimu (no mug) likely ahead of him in the pecking order now, I imagine it might be a long road back. Grudges put aside. He will need to wait for his chance, and quite right too. |

We still have 27 players (one of whom is on a season long loan to Hendon) and after Saturday I can't see where we need strengthening, although Matt may want some more depth. We shall see...

Squad is limited to 22 - excluding GKs so that makes us 24 - KK is a free pass as he is under 21 - and I expect John Barden isn't technically not a squad member atm as a long term injury like a broken leg so that's how we are at the maximum in terms of squad. If more come in , Matt has repeatedly indicated 2 more , then players will have to go out on loan and possibly Dundo may have to hang up his boots. Cue Dave F to come in and put me right.

We have some depth but as a safety first type of person i would prefer us to sign another experienced central midfielder who can also cover a defensive position over a wide player,
My reasoning notwithstanding injuries is with the new rules on refs to react with yellows to delaying game etc the risk of centre midfield players defenders getting suspensions is greater. Of course if Matt can get both " I would love it"

I would anticipate Brad,Tobi and Tope going out on loan - possibly others. Maybe a couple of young wingers coming in on loan as back up to Josh and Omari.

Potential loans (my opinion nothing more):
- House (too good to be 3rd choice keeper here) - Nat South/Isthmian;
- Khinda (taste of men’s football after good pre-season) - Isthmian;
- Barden (short term loan after horror injury) - Nat Prem;
- Ogundega - Nat South;
- Taylor (taste of men’s football) - Isthmian;
- Fadahunsi - Nat Prem/Nat South.

I did consider splitting it down to keepers, wide defenders, central defenders, defensive midfield, attacking midfield, wingers, and forwards, but as this is open to so much interpretation I just stuck with positions given on the clubs website. |

Back in the "old days", a winger would be considered part of a five man forward line. Back in the 60s, Bladon and Howard scored shed loads from out wide.
Patrick got two on Saturday. Not sure they could be defined easily as midfield or attack tbh.
