Odd one this one. Whilst I love the idea of Deano to be back, it feels a little bit of more benefit for Reading than us (which, when loans come in isn't unusual), but as we already have 2 decent keepers in Rose and Arnold, are we a little overloaded there? Matt did say he was looking for another 'keeper as Arnold's injury is not short term. Makes sense to me. I even suggested it to my mate on the way to Wycombe the other evening.

Looks like Arnold is probably out for a while and Deano has come in as cover. I doubt Rose will relinquish his spot unless injured or maybe cup games.

Who's going to be sitting on the bench?

Arnold must be out for a while. Seemed to be the same when at Southend where he was regarded as injury-prone. We shall see. Deano is certainly good cover but won't walk into the side while Rose is on form. I imagine he will cover the cup games and keep Rose on his toes. Good character to have around regardless! A bit of a bad feeling when he left but I don't think it was a full-on fallout.
As for Dion, he could be good. We did need some more cover there, now its just a case of getting this team to stop leaking goals and to get all these new players working as a unit, sooner rather than later. It does look like we have some decent players this year.
thread" timestamp="1693570034"]Welcome Dion x.com/lutontown/status/1697576429591126304?s=46
The views of a Bradford City fan: Pereira was really exciting in his first spell. Excellent feet, was really skillful and tended to dribble past pretty much everyone. The downside is his fitness and he's lazy when out of possession. Wilsden said, a decent player in there.Hopefully Matt can get the best out of the lad🤞🏼

What's left me confused is the absense of defenders in recent signings. A lot of people who seem to know a lot more about football than me have posted, on this forum, that our problems in August largely stem from a weak defence. Leads to one of three conclusions:- (1) we have tried but failed to sign the defenders we need, or (2) management have a master plan to get around our weakness in defence by means other than getting in fresh talent, or (3) despite the evidence of our eyes, our defence is not the problem

Now we have Ryan Jackson, he is great cover on the side and if Kizzi has to go centre then we are still in good shape, We really have about 4 decent centre backs now John is fit again.
