I suppose I better pull my finger out and get the latest match thread up and running.
Hoping we’ve had a good week of training post Forest Green disappointment, the weekend sees a tricky trip to Wiltshire to face a Swindon who haven’t yet tasted defeat in the league, they’ve drawn 3 of their 5 games with wins against Forest Green and Crawley (a game behind as their opening day fixture was postponed at Colchester).
Our record at Swindon isn’t great with narrow defeats in both previous league visits (both Tuesday nights).
A wedding prevents me going this weekend but hope everyone has a good afternoon down there - did I see the ticket prices at £27!!

I shall be there and will hope we can pinch a draw. I think we will need to nick a goal or two to get one. Would be handy to have Eastmond back.

Their man danger man is Bradford City loanee Jake Young, who's already scored seven times in League Two this season. Four of those were against Crawley.
Also worth keeping an eye on is midfielder Dan Kemp, on loan from MK Dons, who scored against us with a free kick when at Hartlepool last season. He's got four goals for Swindon in this campaign.

It would be very 'Sutton' for us to go and win this one. I'd just like to see us attempt to play football rather than the reductive tactics we've resorted to in all our league games since the distant County win. Hopefully Gray has realised Sowumni cannot function as a striker, and Angol and Kashket do not work as a strike pairing, otherwise we'll get nothing.
Would like to see N'Guessan get a chance. Without the hussle of Bugiel and the mobilty of Ali Smith, he's the closest thing I've seen. I thought him and Clay controlled the midfield much better than any of the othe partnerships we've seen, although I'd much rather see us switch to a 3 (I can dream).

WTF ! Prior to this match I thought it would be a miracle if we managed to get a draw today but I did not voice this because anybody suggesting anything other than a win tends to get shot down in flames these days . Now a question , answers on a postcard please ;
Is our defence performing rather poorly ( I am trying very hard to be polite ) because
A.). It is too hot to defend .
B.). They forgot to put on their suntan cream and it is too hot to defend.
C.). They are rather looking forward to visiting National League stadiums next season .
D .). They are over confident and believe we will win 4-3
