What does it take before a change is needed? How much longer can we support the methods that we are playing to? The ideas have run out of steam. Sadly today we are watching a runaway train with no one in control.

Sadly today we are watching a runaway train with no one in control. We need no excuse from Matt tonight, just come out and say it how it is which is quite simple really, the tactics just arenāt working and players just switch off and seem not bothered, so come on Matt say it how it is for ones please.ā½ļøā½ļøā½ļø

The fact we have won two games convincingly this season shows that the players do have it in them. One could argue that making a switch of manager now gives us time to rescue our season but leaving it much longer denies that opportunity.
Unfortunately it would appear that the management team do not seem to have the ability to motivate what looks a reasonable set of players to get the best out of them consistently. I previously said we should look at this two games at a time. I have changed my mind - itās time

I have been saying for weeks now that Matt needs to go . A few have agreed with me but most others seem to think he should be given more time to sort things out , well how much time can possibly sort out the shambolic state of our āteamā ? I now believe last week was a false dawn and the board must act and very soon .
Iāll await the usual ā he brought us up ā , ā he has not lost the dressing room ā etc etc etc comments saying he needs to stay .

From this point we either need to accept relegation is the most likely outcome and come Jan, start to balance the books best we can if at all possible. We are not good enough for this league, either because our players have dropped in their ability, which does happen at this level, or the league has just got better. We are certainly not in a position to start investing in a new stand.
As for Matt, Regardless of ones opinion, I cant see the club replacing him this season, and to be fair even if he was to be replaced I am not sure we have the players who can turn it around under a new manager and staff in time for a significant impact. And in truth Matt might be the best option for us in the Nat league rather than taking a punt on another.
The bottom line is we are not good enough. Which is disappointing given our last two seasons where one would have been less surprised at such form.

Oh look, Smith just scored, probably the only player who had a decent game.

So we should just throw the towel in and give up, because according to you that is what we should do. I thought we were better than that and want to be at this level. I think we have the players but do we have the manager, only the board can answer that and they need to make a decision fairly soon.

Guess for now weāll get this debate after every defeat.

So , in your opinion we keep him in post because the board are too scared or stupid to see the writing on the wall in front of them and hope he keeps us in the National League next season . In the meantime we wait another 100 years to get back into the EFL . Sounds like a plan , just not one that I care for .

If this continues, I can see people "walking " Regarding the board. They have a very hard decision to make.Question, will they make any? The way we are going. We won't need the new stand!! At Rochdale last season I said to Matt that that game was pathetic. Its just continuing even with a change in players.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." (Albert Einstein)
After sitting on the fence I believe it's now time for Matt to go.
Maybe the players aren't good enough but to be getting hammered away from home far too often with just the rare outliers of "big" home performances surely a change of management is worth trying? Maybe it would work, quite possibly it wouldn't, but there's only one way to find out.

So come on then - who replaces Matt?! No point coming on here spouting off without a solution. From what I have seen they could appoint Coco the bloody clown and he could not have down much worse this season , at least given us a laugh or two . As for his actual replacement that is for the board to decide . You may not know it but there would are plenty of managers out there who do not have a job or want to step up to manage an EFL side . But that is for the board to decide who , not me just a poor suffering fan .
