The new manager bounce turned into a slight undulation. For me, we got the manager to late, if we got the manager back in say October November we would be doing ok, it’s just to late for the manager to sort it out. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Have to agree with above posts. I think we all knew things were not right on the pitch around September/October time.In a discussion with Tim Allison I said things Should have been sorted out then and the Board should have acted then. But he was reluctant to reply.

Doncaster looked at all sea, they are eminently catchable.

I’ve known us concede many last minute goals but today really was the most frustrating that I can remember. Thought it was a very harsh decision….although not sure why the goalkeeper was where he was.
Anyway today proved again that actually we are very hard to beat. We have been managing to convert the losses away from home into draws, so now it’s all about converting those home draws into wins.
The best way of looking at it is we are in a league of 5 at the bottom with everyone struggling to win. Just got to keep going - we are not completely detached from the pack just yet.

I said there would be no hiding place if we didn't get a win today, we didn't and there isn't. As far as on the pitch is concerned we are not playing badly, but the lack of a striker may well cost us our EFL place.

I was disappointed with and somewhat baffled by the team selection. For me, Smith and Patrick are the two players at the club most likely by some margin to score. I've seen enough of Angol now to conclude he flatters to deceive and Sanderson is a player who looks to be struggling at this level though his time might come. Maybe the manager believes Patrick & Smith are most effective as impact subs with the latter also maybe not fully match fit after his layoff?
After a bright opening by the visitors I thought we were looking comfortable though didn't test their keeper anywhere near enough. Some of the balls being pinged into the box were crying out for Smith's head to be on the end of them. Donny were the worst team (and probably the most niggly - be interested to see the stats on that) I've seen at GGL this season. Any half-decent team would have put the game to bed long before the final whistle. Predictably, though, they had a good go at chasing the game with a warning sign being the increasing number of free kicks we were conceding in our own half, and so there were shades of inevitability when the equaliser finally arrived.

Yes they were niggly - 21 fouls!!
I said before you’ve got to be looking for 2-3 goal win. Leave it to 1 and you leave yourself open to a decision, a bounce of the ball or a brain fart from your keeper. We didn’t do enough.
Also a bit baffled Smith didn’t start. He’s our best striker and given the magnitude of the game for me it’s a no brainer. Even accounting for a slight lack of match fitness.
Anyway, we’re done now. Guess we look to finish 2nd from bottom in case Reading or someone else goes pop. It’ll be interesting how we re-group for the National League.

I know our goalkeeper alternatives are slim but I could really do without Dean at the moment. Nothing wrong with a hero-complex goalie when their mojo is working. But when it's not it's appalling. Taking us out of the equation, briefly, if Forest Green are as bad as Donny then there is still a chance that we could stay up. But my heart says that we're down. We rang the changes too late. I thought the linos were alright.

Five games under Steve Morison: four draws and one defeat, the same points record as Jason Goodliffe's. Jason at least oversaw a win.
Doncaster today were a shadow of the side that thrashed us 4-1 back in October, though we were abject that day. The calamity in stoppage time this afternoon wouldn't have mattered had we scored more than once in the 90 minutes. Plenty of good approach play, particularly down the wings, but the crossing and finishing just weren't there.
This result seems to have scuppered our survival hopes. But if we win our next two, we're more-or-less back on track. There's a challenge for Steve.

You cant give up with 16 games left, But we are now in need for other teams going on terrible runs. We need to make sure we are there to leap ahead if they are. We were better than Doncaster. Good that Smith got some game time under his belt.

We had one job to do today and we failed against the worst team I've seen us play since scunthorpe. we deserve to be relegated on that alone.
Is nobody going to mention the utter tactical ineptitude displayed in that final ten minutes, where we inexplicably continued with three up front, playing Duke mckenna as a wide striker and leaving our left side woefully exposed?
You'd think the glaring chance for Doncaster, with two players running in for a tap in at the far post a few minutes before the 90 would've been adequate warning but no.
When Smith failed to hold the ball up at 95 minutes (foul? Maybe, maybe not), Patrick and Mckenna were racing forward like we were 2 1 down and when the ball was hopefully pumped into our box, we had only three players back.
I want to blame deano for a rush if blood, but having looked at the stills, it makes truly horrific viewing and the goal would have been prevented with the tiniest bit of basic common sense.
This team is incapable of winning games and we are doing a almost carbon copy of what hartlepool did last season. Drawing their way to relegation.
This one was the hardest to take in 30 years of watching sutton because it was so utterly unnecessary. Even an obligatory substitution at 94 minutes, a defender on for a winger perhaps, would've seen the game end before what happened happened.
Nothing about today mattered except the result, and we, to use nfl parlance, spiked the ball on the one yard line.
