I saw Sutton concede six at Dover last season and i didnt enjoy it one bit!The hard fought 1-0 home win was much more fun. I did enjoy the early days but times must move on.I can appreciate a big Sutton win as much as a tight narrow victory. They can both be entertaining and exciting in their own way.

Maybe i'm getting the wrong end of the stick Billy, but I can't think of any club, nevermind Sutton, who can satisfy your criteria for entertainment. Obviously at this level games are going to be more scrappy compared to the Premier League, and teams often cancel each other out for a bore 0-0 draw - although there are some 0-0 draws i've seen which have been entertaining.
If i'm being honest, if you'd rather see Sutton lose 6-2 than draw 0-0 I question your loyalty, sanity or both! Yes we all love to see entertaining games, and our 3-2 win at Dartford was one of those, but when you follow Sutton week in, week out as I and many others do, the biggest part and certainly the most enjoyable is seeing a Sutton win. If you had seen our collapse at Dover this year, home to Eastbourne last year, Grays in the Trophy a couple years back, then trust me, there was no enjoyment or entertainment to be had whatsoever!
P.S. Wellie, great minds think alike!!!!

Er, I think quite alot of us who come on here can compose a comprehensible sentence, Billy. Language, like alot of other things, changes as the years go by.
Personally, rather than be irked by such things, I'd rather take the piss out of them!
Anyway, thanks for taking over the "miserable git" mantle from yours truly. LOL

Let me think this through again.Do i want to see.................
A. eight goals in a game B. no goals in a game
I'll take the 8 thankyou very much.
Unless of course it's a "must win" game but then again all games seem to be "must win" games nowadays.

You need to take the 8 in a must win game as well and hope it goes the right way, as no goals in a game is not a win.

Think I may not be the only one going for that option...

Regardless of the scorline - yeah it may be a rubbish 1-0 one week, but a more 'entertaining' game the following week. If you want to come to games for pure entertainment and entertainment only, then watching non league football is probably not for you.

Certainly not lots of love Billy. Chill out man or wear an orange suit so I can pick you out at our next home game. Maybe watching the trains? lol

Can I just say that goals are not the only entertainment to be gained from a football match. While seeing plenty of goals (for you own side!) can be gratifying, what about the appreciation of good team and individual performances? Or how about comedy refereeing decisions? There's more to football entertainment than just goals. I would love for Sutton to win 2-0 every week (as every goal we concede, no matter how good, ends up pissing me off), I'd also love to see Hamici or Matty Hann run round six players and bury a 30 yarder in the top corner every game, but in reality that's not going to happen . Fact is if Sutton, or any Ryman side, could produce what you seek, they would most likely not be at this level.

All i seek is for the referee to blow the whistle and both teams to go forward and try and win the match.Of course this idea disappeared a long time ago.
Football followers are probably the most gullible people on the planet and will swallow anything.
