As newcomer to site just a few observations. Apparently this appears in the Time Out list of 101 things to do in London this Xmas....(admittedly sent to me by a Scummer...)
Nos 25-35 Boxing Day Football
Freezing along in a post-port-and-turkey fug while watching terrible post-Christmas football is one of the great English traditions. For the full experience, it should be done in the environs of a decrepid and roofless non-league ground, in the drizzle, with a cup of lukewarm Bovril in your hands and an ineptly fought local derby involving clearly hungover players on the pitch. For that combination - and from bitter personal experience - we heartily recommend the clash between the Old Firm of South London: Sutton United v Carshalton Athletic
Secondly, reading the more rational comments on this site, I'm glad to see that our victory was tempered with a certain amount of sympathy for our village cousins whose club is being filleted by an avaricious and self interested chairman. As one whose other team is Luton Town I do have a feeling of deja -vu about the events over the ponds and seeing the Scummers in the Surrey Intermediate League 5 years hence will not be beneficial for anyone. Finally- having seen Steve Watts stagger from the 6-yard box to flop in front of us after his tap -in against W'stone I was impressed by his much improved speed and work rate on Saturday. I also thought McCoy looks the Real thing! Happy New Year and heres to another stuffing of the Scum on Saturday

From the Carshalton main site "The first of a number of new signings for the Robins is Kenny Beaney who has been on loan from Sutton Utd. The deal with Sutton nearly fell through at the last moment when Sutton insisted that a condition of the deal would be that Kenny would not be eligible to play against them in any competitions. Sutton backed down on this condition to save the deal and he will be playing against his old club on Saturday."

Oooo don't it make them sound important! I bet they loved every minute of writing that.
Totally unnecessary too.

I wonder what a difference he will make on Saturday? When they played us last week only Roberts and Beaney were missing from the team that thumped Northwood 5-0. That says to me he will make a difference. Maybe without Jolley it may help us but as he has failed to score against us in the last 3 league games somebody else may do better.

Perhaps they can explain why he didn't play on Boxing Day, considering he'd already signed for them?

Why is the Bobbins' Wikipedia page more detailed than ours?
