When is it?
Also has the programme been produced and gone to the printer. Bit of a waste I think.
The match might be postponed.

In order to have a pitch inspection you have to find it first I wonder if the league uses commonsense in these sutuations and does not weste club and officials time? Given the weather situation and safety of travel etc, I would not be surprised if the Ryman postponed all games this weekend?

Indeed, the sensible ruling has been made and clubs can calll games off tomorrow if it is obvious that there is no chance of playing.

Any idea when that decision will be made?
I've got a flight from Malaga at 2.45 your time which I will forget if the game isn't on (I may forget it anyway).
An early decision would be very much appreciated if at all possible.

I think we need to be realistic. There is NO CHANCE of the game happening - and due to the predicted freezing conditions until well into next week, i'd say that the Borehamwood game may struggle too!

Ignoring the costs for a moment would we be allowed an all weather pitch, the stuff at Goals is awesome and plays better than some grass pitches.
Obviously if allowed I'd put a fiver in to help pay for it....

Also if the pitch was playable the match would get called off because of the health and safety difficulties.
ie Arsenal V Bolton.

Fox, what type of all weather pitch do they use? The Football Mundial run league that I play in at Epsom uses the Blenheim High School. They've got a supposed all weather pitch but the bastard thing's forever freezing in the winter. It's one those horrid sand covered astro jobbies.

No sand used (black rubber pellets) and longer "grass" than the old style astro jobbies.
I played at Goals North Cheam for a bit and never had a game called off because of weather.

Also if the pitch was playable the match would get called off because of the health and safety difficulties. ie Arsenal V Bolton. I think there are different H&S issues for a 400 crowd at GGL and a 40,000 crowd at the Emirates. But the pitch will be frozen so it's an academic argument.

League rules don't permit artificial pitches, including the blended pitches, I've forgotten the name of those though.
