Making my first visit on Saturday. Looked at their website and it looks a bit "basic". Does anyone know whether they have a clubhouse/bar?

I would be very surprised if any club did not have a clubhouse. It is one of the chief ways clubs generate income.

Looks great! Good old n-l ground - goes back to the days for those of us who can remember The Old Spotted Dog Ground.

Is it odd that I want to go there more because of its... tinpocity? Unfortunately I can't anyway, I can only hope we meet them again away in the play-offs

Cheers Beaney, a bit from that blog: About Capershotts Capershotts is definitely a work in progress. The club have grown in stature and position over the past few seasons and that means due to the ground grading work, alterations need to be made all the time which does give the ground a slight unfinished look. However, surrounded on three sides by trees you would be hard to image one of the busiest roads in Europe passing a few yards close by. There is a small (but growing) Maine stand (called such as the seats came from Maine Road!) and a covered terrace behind the goal. Apart from that it is simple standing. The pitch used to slope significantly and you can see by what extent on the height of the path around the pitch. On the far side from the Maine Stand you can get an excellent view above the dugouts due to this situation. Floodlights came from Walthamstow Park Avenue, and the club are always looking for a few bits and bobs from other grounds. The clubhouse is on the far side of the car park, and fans simply give a nod and a wink to the turnstile operator as they leave and come back in at half time. There is a tea bar behind the terrace at one end. Built for joy rather than comfort.

I think they're doing superbly well, by all accounts their total playing budget is the equivalent of 2 or 3 Ryman Prem standard players by average standards.

It's certainly the most... er... 'basic' ground I've visited in the Ryman Premier, and impressions weren't really helped by the fact that when we went earlier this season it was the most godforsaken day and the football was absolutely dire from both teams. It's not really changed much since those Pyramid Passion photos really.
As noted, bar is across the car park (which itself is about as rutted as Claremont Road's was in more recent years). It's quite pleasant in there - tables and seating is slightly utilitarian, but it feels like a proper clubhouse, they've got the obligatory big-screen with Sky and a reasonable range (although from memory no real-ale for those of you into that). Also has a hatch in there that does food before you go into the ground.
There's around a metre wide strip of concrete to stand on around most of the pitch, with a few wider areas in a few places. Small covered terrace behind the goal at the clubhouse end, and covered seating on one side. The building you can see inside there houses the changing rooms and a tea-bar.
People seem friendly enough, and you can't really complain given the limited finances they've got to work with.
