Same old story I thought, dominated possession and put them under a lot of pressure, esp in second half, but how many clear cut chances did we create?
Felt for both JG and Perkins as both have been excellent all season, but give Traynor a chance and he will score.
Thought Dobbins and both Hawes bros were poor today. Not the first time I have thought that about the brothers as well this season.
K's battled well but must admit they were under the cosh for the vast majority of the game and at times we did play some good stuff, but you need to create to score and score to win..

A bitter defeat given that their goal was seconds before FT and we had been owning the match at the time. Thank goodness the third substitution came when it did, because I think Sutton changed completely after that.

As a K's fan I'd have to say (and just have on our own Forum) that we were very lucky to win today. I thought you shaded the first half and our Keystone Kops own goal opener was against the run of play. We probably had the better of the 3rd quarter but then you dominated after a couple of clever substitutions and your late equaliser neither flattered you nor was it (to me, anyway) unexpected. Your No 6 was sublime and your No 9 led the line really well. You were also hungrier and quicker to the 50/50 balls for much of the game. Credit to both sides that each went for the win at 1-1. A very bizarre last few minutes - you looked like you might score, but Bobby T hit the bar from a corner before taking brilliantly his one and only gilt-edged clear chance of the game. (You can't say you hadn't been warned). So much for the Dress Rehearsal, now for the real event (unless of course we catch Dartford lol). Cheers, through gritted teeth, to all at GGL Simon

Noone deserved the win today. 1-1 would have been the proper result. I thought the ref was the best I've seen all season, although he missed a blatant hand ball 1st half and a semi one 2nd.
AJ2 was superb and glad he did more than the 60 minutes Dos said he was good for, to be honest for a spell he looked the only one who really wanted it.
This may be an unpopular opinion - but why do we start with Watts? CT would have been a great player off Dobson who showed some amazing skills 1st half. Was he pulled for a knock? That man is class.
Frankie Quarm looked like he's doing his fair share with the new baby (been there) so he was a yard short of pace today. JG more than made up for his OG, especially heading off the line 2nd half.
I watched Gargs, Alan Bray eat chips and Matty Hann had a burger, dunno if it was cheeseburger. Gargs washed it down with a bottle of coke.
Great atmosphere between the sets of fans, enjoyed that, just wish it stayed at 1-1.

both Hawes bros were poor today. Not the first time I have thought that about the brothers as well this season. They're both absolutely gash and the sooner they foo off the better. Disappointing to lose today through two horrible mistakes from some usually reliable players but psychologically, if we are to meet again in the play-offs, today's game has done no damage as it was even and there's only one player to fear in the K's side. AJ, Hanny and Gargan sitting in the stands never helps either.

It was a good game that I felt we dominated in the first half with K's just having one serious shot and the OG, both of which were on the counter. We were the best I have seen us today in the air winning nearly everything and the equaliser was no more then we deserved although it seemed to take years for Charlie to put it in. At that Stage K's were like a beaten boxer trying desperately to cling on to the ropes, we left our guard open and got caught. Overall I think we were the better side, I would have taken 1-1 though as I am sure K's would have done.
The work rate was very high as was the will to win, we did not get the rub of the green all the 50/50s seem to go K's way especially in the 1st half. AJ2, Perkins, JG, Charlie, and even Danny when he came on did well. And the ref was not bad at all apart from his unwillingness to book home players.
On the drive back I was thinking who would we rather be tonight K's or U's? and I wonder how many K's fans would switch teams tonight if they could? We should hold that last minute goal feeling right to the playoffs and I just wonder if K's may regret get that winner, it may just do more for us then them?
Imagine if that was the play of final?

My only complaint is that we have three threads for one match, although arguably one is a pre-match thread!

Despite the disappointing defeat I thought we played really well today and enjoyed the game. Honourable mentions to Perkins, Quarm and Joseph who I thought played brilliantly today. Couple of basic errors thats all. Isn't that first defeat in 16 or something? Must bounce back on Monday against Cray.
Come on Sutton!

I pity Cray for Monday. We will gut them like fish. Hope Dos and the team enjoy the Haye fight, i will watch it online somehow.

Medibot, do you actually watch the games Apart from a couple of sliced balls forward Billy Hawes won tackle after tackle, beat taller men in the air and was full of energy, and got in 2 or 3 good crosses. It seems to me that he gets criticised because we aren't scoring from his long throws.

Billy Hawes suits the tactics Dos deploys. We play attacking football, and Billy compliments that with his runs upfield and overlaps. He is a fairly reliable defender, and didn't lose too many headers today. The long throws rarely work, and sometimes I do think it would be better to play it short and whip a cross in.
James Hawes on the other hand looks lost every time I see him play. He did not know where to play today.
Phillips looked very good when he came on, winning the ball and causing problems in the K's defence.
We need to be more clinical in front of goal mind.
