To be fair, he did make a joke of it. I pointed out to him that this was the FAC & giantkilling is the name of the game - although not so politely.
Actually, Woodford was fine - accept for the burgers, ask Gareth, Taz & Chalmers - played havoc with my guts on the way home. My first & last ever ride in Miller's Mazda I suspect. Thanks for the lift home, BTW.
The locals were fine, brand new comfortable bar with a couple of "efficient" bar maids and we won - just. The only real gripe is their approach to the game. Every challenge by a U's player was met by a whining "ref" & it wasn't helped by the antics from their bench. Ref should have got his book out in the second minute when WM was brought down from behind.
I also took the train & bus option to get there. The bus ride was something else. Took about 10 mins to get out of Banbury - which is not a big place - the route taking us up the side of a hill & back down the other side to go past the road where the bus stop I used was! After that it was a few villages with some smashing pubs before the driver dropped me off right outside the ground - ahh the England of yesteryear still exists.

Mark, shame you didn't get to see Millers face as we overtook him on the A3. Face like thunder....

Mark, are you sure it was the burger rather than Gareth's driving that was playing havoc with your guts?

I can say Mr M's driving was of no concern, but my god the indigestion I had & it's gradual release at the expense of any fresh air in the car was!
I believe Taz's hair turned brown as a consequence (he wished!).

I can confirm that Mr Frake was indeed suffering from a bout of rather odious burps all the way down the M40.

Mine was fine, and compared to some efforts i've had this season (Eastleigh) was rather nice.
