Very True Mr Honsec - my mistake Talking about Player Movement (this maybe a current player, maybe a 'news of the ex U's' thread) Seems they are talk about Michael Boateng at Oxford United - www.oxford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=287380(Keeping the topic going)

I think the squad is shaping up well. But there are a couple of areas which seem to require signings.
Osa's departure (just announced on the official site) means that Stuart and Downer are our only recognised CBs. If one of those is missing or Dos wants to play three CBs we may, as things stand, have to rely on Paul Telfer.
As I mentioned in the Hampton thread, we seem to lack a right winger. Jamie O'Connell might be the answer, but I don't think he's done enough so far to make him first choice for that position.

TAKEN FROM THE WEBSITE
"With three games played and around ten training sessions completed, Paul Doswell is starting to firm up his opinions about some of the players who have been appearing in the pre-season games.
Matt Reece, a forward who shone in our Suburban team last season, has signed forms after impressing in pre-season and working hard.Jamie O'Connell, a midfielder most recently with Notts County, is returning to the game after a lengthy injury and has also signed Conference forms.Reece Jones, a Welsh age-group international midfielder who was with AFC Wimbledon last season has also signed league forms after impressing the coaching team.Michael Abnett a defender who played at Crystal Palace and then for BI Bolungarvik in Iceland last season before playing a few games on his return from Iceland at the end of the season at Whyteleafe, has signed a contract."

Amber - "Jamie O'Connell, a midfielder most recently with Notts County" probably means he isn't a striker 24 players is probably the biggest squad Dos has assembled in his time here. If I'm right, only Mckoy, Cousins and Jones in that list above (and perhaps Lovelock) have not at least signed forms. Giving a contract to Abnett, one could suggest that Dos is thinking that Boateng is less likely to come back now?

I thought we might be a little light on numbers at the back but looking at the size of our midfield we probably won't need any

Sorry, Jamie is a striker but can also play in midfield - I wouldn't get hung up on it!

Once upon a time the beauty of this board (or previous version) was that the topics could go off in various directions and made it a more intersting read. If it goes OT it goes OT no big deal. I'm with you there mate , however there are quite a few who will go all funny and act as if you have kicked their Granny in the shins. May i ask a polite question...........is Taggart still at the club ? Thanks
