Probably for the reason that if the said player hasn't yet signed for us, we dont want to cause too much speculation as this can cause all sorts of problems, ie if we are perhaps trying to poach a player away from another perspective club or future club. Naming players before they are signed can cause a huge number of problems/ knock on effects!! .... And as most of know. The guardian newspaper gets most of its facts completely and utterly wrong !! As per the above ..... Again....!!!

Pre -season training starts next week. When Paul has finished his shopping would it be possible to have a meet the manager event?
I know it's pre-season, but I'm sure he could be persuaded. Perhaps he could ask the new players so we can meet them. The pro sides introduce their new boys at press days, why can't we do that on a smaller scale?
Paul L could be asked to attend and take some shots which could: A) Be sent to the Non-League paper. B) The local press. C) For inclusion in an early edition of the programme.
If available the Supporters Club could bring samples of any new merchandise, for example the new shirts, and take orders and deposits where appropriate.

Thanks Col, I thought so. I don't know who usually organizes these things, Gareth perhaps?
I think he's taking a break from the club, re-charging his batteries after last season. (All the club secretaries put a lot of work in during the season, so who can blame him)
I know Dos, Bruce and most of the rest of the players / management read this forum, not to mention the various committees of the VPs, Trust and supporters club read this forum, so it must be possible to organise something. I would attempt to organise this event, but have no way of contacting Dos or his team apart from Clive B, who again reads this forum. I will speak to him next week.

Just back from hols and incredibly busy with "real" work at the moment but don't worry, a Meet the Manager evening will be arranged in due course, date subject to availability

No offense intended mate. I just haven't been around when you have. Thought there might be something in the pipe line, but the idea was extend the event if possible, players attendance, Supporters club attendance. Dare say our paths will cross soon. Any Youth team PSFs arranged? When is the FAYC draw?
