A quick glance at the table shows that by winning just one of our games in hand, we will overtake 4 teams, regardless of the rest of the results on the other games.
If we take the impossible "best case scenario" and get 3 points from each of our games in hand...
21 games = 28pts 22 = 31 23 = 34 24 = 37 25 = 40 26 = 43 27 = 46
That would currently put below Welling, Salisbury, Borehamwood, Chelmsford and Farnborough above us. All the other sides will be below, and Staines who currently sit 2 points above us, will be 19 points behind.
Of course to do this, we need to start scoring goals. A ratio of just over a goal a game is great as a defence stat, but shocking as a goalscoring record. There's only 4 teams (all of which sit in the top 5) who have lost less than we have this year, but if we'd not thrown away games like we had at the start of the season, we'd probably have joined them. (Away at Weston and Welling spring to mind, and certainly at home to Dover and Staines - all of which perfectly winnable on our performance)

I believe PD will be looking for 2 points a game, and hoping for more ;-)

I reckon there is more chance of another NL Team emulating our FAC feat in 1989 against Coventry than U's playing tomorrow night at Maidenhead......oh hang on a mo.
Non League Luton Town....... just doesn't sound right does it?

How's the state of the pitch at GGL at the moment. Rain is forecast for most of the week, although the strong winds may help it dry out quicker in those periods when it's not raining.
We really can't afford to lose another Saturday home game - either to the weather or the opponents

One of our supporters (who is also a referee/assistant referee at Step 5) has just posted this on our forum
I (have) been down there already (and) in my eyes its OFF but we will await the inspection which is between 12:30-1
Doesn't look too promising.

Maidonian, I have to ask - why is the Maidenhead forum locked for viewing? For posting, I totally get, but for viewing??
