Great post from a very reasonable oppo supporter! The only thing I'd add is: don't bother coming to Sutton tomorrow; best wait until Tuesday

Just read this on the Eastleigh forum.
I watched Sutton at the weekend against Hemel Hempstead in the FA Cup and they were nothing special, with Hemel outplaying them for large periods. They are certainly slow at the back and not very quick upfront (apart from Binns but he has no final ball...) To be honest their best player on the day was Mitchell Nelson & i also liked Dean McDonald i think his name was (pint sized black lad who played central midfield but was their main ball player).
Incidently the game finished 3-3. Hemel went 1-0 up inside 2 mins, then Sutton came back to lead 1-3, with Hemel netting a penalty with the last kick of the first half to go in 2-3 at HT. Hemel then got another penalty a few mins after the restart. Slabber then missed a penalty after about 70 mins (keeper saved) and in the last 20 mins either team could have won it.
It will be another tough game for them in the replay Tuesday night, which will only help us, as we have had a nice break, whilst Sutton will have played 2 tough games. I fancy Hemel to get through by the odd goal. BTW, Hemel have greatly improved their ground since my last visit, which now has 2 fully terraced and covered stands behind both goals, both stands are identical & cover the full width of the pitch, so they look very good. They also have the old terraced & covered stands on either side of the pitch, although these do not cover the full lenght of the pitch & were there when i used to go. So if a club like Hemel who have never played at a higher level can do it, it seems amazing that we continue to struggle and come up against red tape. I really hope they win the Southern league this season and comne up to the Skrill South, as they will be a great addition.

Luckily that bloke knows absolutely nothing about football. If Mitchell was our best player on Saturday I'll volunteer to eat my own hand. Let's hope we can shove those words down his throat come Sat evening. Football has a funny way of making people like that look stupid.

Those of us who frequent the Conference South forum will have a pretty good idea who this bloke is. Let's just say that where Sutton are concerned he tends to be a little provocative.

Yeah I keep an eye on that forum but could never be bothered to register, mainly because it is usually a loada rubbish. I already waste enough time on the rubbish we spout on here :-)
The guy's comments about Eastleigh themselves are very naive and funny to read. When he starts talking about money is probably when he is at his very best!!

What amazes me even more is that he's from Eastleigh and understands what the word "terraced" means!

This is Eastleigh putting on the style in their 1-0 win vs Staines: I wouldn't want to buy my fireworks where they get theirs

Doswell promises another FA Cup cracker as Sutton United and Hemel Hempstead Town prepare to go again
By Tim Ashton
Paul Doswell is expecting another cracking FA Cup clash when Sutton United and Hemel Hempstead Town go head to head again.
With a place in the first round proper up for grabs, the sides played out a 3-3 draw on Saturday, and so must go again in a replay tomorrow night (Tuesday) at Gander Green Lane.
United had to come from a goal behind in Hertfordshire, but goals from Mitchell Nelson, Craig Dundas and Ali Fuseini had Doswell's men 3-1 ahead.
However, two penalties saw Hemel, who are unbeaten at home and sitting pretty at the top of the Southern Premier, level.
Jamie Slabber had a chance to win it from the spot but his effort was saved, and now the teams face up again for the right to go to either Bradford Park Avenue or Kidderminster Harriers in the next round on November 9.
Doswell said: "It was one of the best FA Cup ties you are likely to see at this level, it was a cracker, and I can guarantee there will be goals in the replay.
"Hemel are top of their league for a reason, they are very good going forward, they throw so many players up the pitch.
"Don't be fooled by the fact we're in a league above them, these are two evenly match sides. Neither gave any quarter on Saturday and at the end we shook hands, and we go again."
He added: "I am full of nervous excitement ahead of the replay, I just don't know which way it is going to go. This is what we love about football, the cup is a wonderful competition."
United have raked in £12,000 in prize money so far, with another £12,500 awaiting Tuesday’s winner.
Doswell said: "If we can get through, we'd have brought in £25,000 for the club and I would consider our job done.
"Anything beyond this round is when we can relax and enjoy it more, and there's nothing to say that on our day we cannot beat either Kidderminster or Bradford.
"But we have to get past Hemel tomorrow and that is not going to be easy. I understand they are bringing two or three coaches of fans, so it is going to be another terrific atmosphere."
