As far as I am concerned our best performance of the season, we controlled the game for long periods and made Eastleigh look a mediocre side. Dean / Tom and AJ along with Scooby were outstanding at the back, they are getting better week on week. The movement in midfield was the best I have seen for a while and Nicky looked the ticket today. Upfront Harry and CD are a class act, but and here it comes, Steffan Ball lacks pace and strength, if you gonna be a forward at this level you need at least one of them? We have not scored a proper goal since Fisher away a month ago, and that's what going to send us down.
Situation critical 'Dorchester' or bust in a nutshell failure to win there means Bognor have the opportunity of coming to GGL and relegating us.
DORCHESTER IS THE BIGGEST LEAGUE GAME FOR YEARS?

Agree with os. 90 Mins of pure fight from us. Want to add that it was Goodchilds' best match in a Sutton shirt, he was inspired today.

I don't agree that this was our best performance of the season, but it was perhaps our best since Hampton at home on New Year's Day.
Eastleigh pushed forward in the first half, clearly in the hunt for an away win, but this allowed us to catch them on the break a few times. Unfortunately we didn't make anything of these opportunities, although a couple of very tight offside decisions went against us, and Dundas hit the post with our best chance of the match. At the other end, Kevin Davies kept us in the game with a near-faultless performance.
We looked confident in the second half, but failed to create much in the way of clear-cut openings, despite a succession of free kicks and corners in the dying minutes. Eastleigh had more pressure of their own, but were not helped by their leading scorer Andy Forbes going off early in the half having taken a knock in the first.
I thought we needed to win this match to keep alive our chances of staying up, but remarkably we're only five points behind 19th placed Welling, albeit having played two games more. Next week's match at Dorchester looks the mother of all six-pointers!
