We can expect it to be bitterly cold, but, barring heavy snow, our 3G pitch should stand up to tomorrow evening's weather. (The Gateshead v Orient replay in the Trophy has already been postponed from tomorrow.)
Merstham are a step or two up from previous SSC opponents Redhill and Molesey, so our anticipated mixture of academy players and first-teamers can expect to be tested. We've beaten Merstham's Bostik Premier rivals Hendon 3-0 in the Trophy this season, but for that game, of course, we put out a first XI.

Unfortunately can’t make this one not only due to the weather but mainly because I’m currently on a work placement and I don’t want to catch a cold or the flu and mess up my work placement, really dissapointed because I wanted to go to this one, very rare I miss a home game but unfortunately I will be missing this one 😢

Due to the cold we may well film from the blue cabin, which will give a rather unusual view, but its better that than the camera and commentary crew being dead by the end of the match  |

It should stop the camera shake too... It’s tough when it’s very cold and the wind blows - plus the new TV gantry (brilliant as it is) is open to the elements (especially the wind). |

Get extra custard creams in for Sol. He had a big supply on Saturday, so hopefully still has some of those ready for tonight  Like everyone else, keeping a watchful eye on the weather, none in Chelmsford overnight ( unlike Southend which has 2 / 3 inches ) before I set off |
