So I thought I’d start this a few days earlier, so we travel back to York Road for the first time since the 15/16 season when we picked up a 1-1 draw against Maidenhead and a 3-1 win over H&Y. The 14/15 season saw us draw there 1-1 against H&Y and a 3-2 loss against Maidenhead.
Based on our previous 4 visits to York Road we have W1 D2 L1. Maidenhead have a started life off well in the VNL and look quite comfortable and have some decent players but with us knowing them so well, it will be a bit easier to know how they play.
On paper, it’s another 3 points but as we all know, a trip to York Road is never easy!

Looking forward to making my first visit to York Road on Friday in what's a tricky looking away fixture for us against a side who have debuted well in the National this season. Indeed Maidenhead are one of Sutton's bogey sides with our recent record there being particularly poor. We had a low-key win in the Trophy a couple of seasons back but I wouldn't know when our last league win was over them at there's (early 00's courtesy of a Bolt double?!).

I definitely wouldn't be so arrogant to think this is another 3 points, a) games aren't played on paper b) Maidenhead are no mugs/certainly no whipping boys and c) our record at York Road is poor..we'll be in for a tough afternoon I imagine on Friday.

So that's two local-ish games and two long trips, just like the rest of us but the other way round for you

Maidenhead have only won 3 out of the last 10 - against Chester, Eastleigh and Guiseley - the first two of those were at home. If you look at their last 10 home games, they've only won 3 of those too - the aforementioned 2 and Solihull. They have however managed to get home draws with Macclesfield and Dover, but have lost at home to Torquay and Barrow most recently.
Typical mid level side this season - infact they've been in one of the positions from 11 to 14 since late September.

So who else is going to this one? I hope it's around 200 going to this one. It likely to be our last unsegregated game of the season.

I thought that Maidenhead looked one of the best teams i've seen so far this season when we played them at home.

So that's two local-ish games and two long trips, just like the rest of us but the other way round for you I'm staying down at my dads over Easter so not much travelling involved once I get down there, but don't envy the hardly bunch of fans doing both the Fylde game on Saturday, then Halifax on the Tuesday, unless some are making a long weekend of it up in the north.

Every game is a cup final. No easy games, form table almost irrelevant.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS!
