No news yet, will let you all know how the tests go. Do they want to fence to break or not break? I thought they wanted them to break to avoid crushing I can see a argument both ways

Really hope this gets sorted out but I am not sure I have seen an answer to the question of what our limit will be on attendance going forward if the restrictions stay in place. Perhaps more pertinently what will be the limit on home fans not including the Collingwood Road end which will generallly be segregated and therefore exclusively for away fans. My assumption is that it would significantly reduced.
I can see potential problems here when we have a superb number of season ticket holders - say 1600-1800 - but, when taking into account the fact that the Collingwood Road end will generally be reserved for away supporters irrespective of how many turn up, then we could be turning home fans away when actually the ground would look far from full because reality is we know not all ST holders turn up every week.
Again I have confidence the Club are doing all they can to resolve this ridiculous situation.

The way I have read it is that our capacity is based on seating and terraced areas, not the flat areas. Also that the recent extra metalwork on the terracing may have actually increased capacity in those sections?

Unfortunately no change as of yet :-( Righto. Thanks for the update. The kids are gonna give it a miss in that case. It's a real shame. They love being down the front behind the goal in front of the noisy fans. Good luck with it. 👍

Right, just had confirmation. It WILL be ok to view the game from alongside the barriers tonight in line with how spectators are used to watching games at Sutton.

We have also tweeted it’s not segregated tonight which I was surprised about given some of their past form.

I was quick to express my disappointment at the outset so it's only correct to give credit, once again, to all those that work tirelessly in achieving great outcomes for the supporters of this club. I can't wait to be back "on the rails, whatever the weather".

Well thanks for getting tonight sorted. The most ironic point though was that as it was pissing down most of the moaners fled to the cover of the covered terrace.
(I stayed steadfastly attached to the barrier.)

When the heavens opened in the second half, some people unwisely decided to take shelter in the seated grandstand, only to be called c*nts by the elderly "gentlemen" (and I use that term very loosely) already seated there, accusing them of seeking to dodge the seating surcharge, even though they were clearly just seeking to avoid the rain. We are a friendly, family club and this sort of unwarranted hostility does us no favours, especially at a time when we are seeking to attract new fans. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Moving forwards, why not have an honesty box for times when the seating area is not marshalled? That should hopefully appease the surcharge hitlers, and avoid any future unpleasantness.

I don't think the seating surcharge applies for the second half. For many years there has been an influx of people in to the stand after half time.
It can be annoying when you leave your seat at HT for a wee and come back to find it has been nicked by someone who chose to dodge the princely sum of £2 (if it hasn't gone up) and in previous years £1.

I agree Billy, that would be annoying, although in that case a simple "Excuse me, I was sitting there" would suffice. In my days as a season ticket holder at Upton Park, I would occasionally arrive late to find someone sat in my seat, which was similarly annoying, but I'd just politely ask them to move and they always did. I certainly wouldn't dream of calling someone a "c*nt" for doing so, but then perhaps I was brought up better than some of our grandstand inhabitants.
