Brilliant day yesterday, apart from the result, really enjoyed Dublin and the match experience. What’s happening next season? I’m hoping for an invitation into the Norwegian Cup or direct entry into the group stages of the Europa League. WOLFIE 19: I second everything you said. And to add, I want us to enter the copa libertadores. Hoping to draw Boca Juniors away. ————————- What a day. I was like a young boy again going to my first ever match which I did by the way in 1977 (Lou Macari & the Greenhoff brothers playing for MU).I’ll never forget yesterday as long as I live. And I for one will be gutted when the draw for the quarter finals takes place and November 17th comes around. Aswad’s penalty was over the line and we would still be there trying to win by sudden death penalty kicks..... Which game was it if you don't mind me asking ?

Sounds like everyone had a great time.I was gutted to miss it although I have been to Dublin many times. Not to see SUFC though!! Disappointment was tempered by spending a great evening in the 12 pins, next to Finsbury Park tube.Guinness was as good as any I have had in Dublin and the music was fantastic.Just a shame the dates clashed
Back to real life now and ,hopefully, progression in the cup.

Billy: Imagine a brilliant game of football that had you hooked from start to finish because both sides played some great football and it could have gone either way so it kept both sets of fans excited. Let's say a 4-3.
Now imagine that exact same game except none of those 7 goals actually crossed the line. That's the only difference. The football was just as good...but so were the goalkeepers!
It's been a bit like that for us. Some really exciting football. Just not with actual goals.
I know you love a high scoring match, but a game of football can be great without goals too! You may disagree but I had a great time watching these goalless games.

And the trip was so much more than a game of football. You really had to be there to understand. Great occasion, great atmosphere, great city, great memories.

Still grates that we lost though!
Will be a day that stays in the memory banks for a hell of a long time though and so glad that we accepted the invite.

Superb weekend really enjoyed the city, shame there was so much rain about until Sunday afternoon.
Lots of Sutton fans great ground and loved the bars their fans on the whole was a credit to not going to the lie the its coming home song grated on me after the loss but that's banter for you. My wallet definitely couldn't of done another trip that's for sure lol.
Watching the highlights wasn't as bad of a game as I initially thought, clough looked good,Ayunga showed glimpses and Taylor made few nice touches. Without Wright in there generally don't look like scoring also think the midfield is very passive without Bailey in their naturally and also Collins is always going to be a miss but surprisingly the main concern is lack of able strikers atm. Wishart looks a shadow of the player he was at Maidstone away.
Saturday concerns me I'd be lying if I said it didn't potentially a very tough game without the players that are missing.
The Guiness was superb but definitely over indulged lol hope everyone got out and back safe enough.

It's been a bit like that for us. Some really exciting football. Just not with actual goals. Not that one again ! I have seen many 0 - 0 games over the years that were as you say, goalmouth incidents, woodwork struck, great saves by the keepers, glaring misses etc etc BUT although i'm getting old and senile and don't watch as much football as in past decades they seem to be getting scarcer. Is it not a regular occurrence for one or both teams, normally the "underdogs" to leave the field at the end having not mustered a single decent attempt on target ? If you get time have a look at the Bohemians highlights and tell me how many bona fide goal attempts you see.I'm presuming that a "highlights" package would include them all.

Got back late last night after a truly special SUFC (long) weekend away.
The sight -and sound- of 300 Sutton supporters welcoming our players on to the pitch at Dalymount Park on Saturday afternoon will remain with me for ever.
An emotional moment in time.

Sutton United: The London club that played an Irish side in the Scottish Challenge Cup in Dublin.Match report "Some 370 miles away, Wembley Stadium was gearing up to host the Oakland Raiders against the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL on the Sunday night" Ohhh! THAT'S why I kept seeing Seahawks fans at the airport. I was a bit confused about that...

Bohs drawn at home to East Fife in Quarter finals I believe that Bohemians players are out of contract in two weeks time and they are seeking to bring the tie forward. I'm not even suggesting it's a possibility but what happens if the Scots say no and Bo's pull out?

Bohs would have been aware of this before the competition started so I doubt very much they will pull out!

The SF's aren't due until mid February by which time the new LoI season will be underway. I hope they go all the way.
