They can Andy - if they win and the Stockport, Carlisle and Bradford results all go right for them. Not quite, you forgot Stevenage who have a game in hand. Even if Leyton Orient beat us and Stevenage lose, they could still mathematically catch them.

Yes. Stevenage and Northampton could still catch them - but they would be in the top 3 - so promoted.

Quite surprised seeing Stockport now in 3rd and the last automatic promotion place - thought they were pretty average on Friday against us. Would we want them promoted and out the way for next season 🤔

Forest Green were officially relegated yesterday. So we’re going back up that hill to be force fed vegan food in the rain.
Looking at the League One relegation picture, there’s the possibility of at least 2 new grounds. Accrington Stanley, who we have never played, and Morecambe who have moved grounds since that one season we shared a division with them in 1999/2000.
The relegation battle is quite tight in League One, and whilst the aforementioned Stanley and Morecambe looked to have fallen short, there seems to be a 3-way fight for the last spot, currently occupied by Cambridge United who are currently behind Oxford United on goal difference. MK ‘Dons’ are 3 points ahead of those 2, but have played a game more and have a worse goal difference than Oxford.
If Oxford go down, that will be a new ground for us.

A bit like the boat race, Oxford or Cambridge? Currently, Cambridge showing better form an their win over a recently in form Peterborough was a continuation.
Next Saturday's L2 fixtures include Hartlepool v Crawley.

Dependent on results, Rochdale could be relegated on Tuesday.

So we've now lost Leyton Orient and Rochdale to L1 and the NL respectively. Northampton need 2 points in their last 2 games to secure promotion, and Hartlepool need to win both their remaining games and hope Crawley lose both of theirs to stay up.
We welcome Wrexham and FGR, whilst joining FGR from L2 will be any 3 out of Accrington, Cambridge, Morecambe, Oxford and MK Dons

Happy Crawley beat Hartlepool on Saturday, we need Crawley in the league with us for locality though they still need to get rid of their Crypto owners! Am I right in thinking Hartlepools our farthest away day or is it Barrow?

Am I right in thinking Hartlepools our farthest away day or is it Barrow? Neither. It's Carlisle. Barrow 2nd and Hartlepool 3rd. I'd still rather lose Crawley than Hartlepool, although that's hugely unlikely. Hartlepool may be far away, but they're by far a nicer club, not a basketcase, decent fans, decent ground, nice town and a pleasant away day experience. Literally the polar opposite of Crawley, who as we know are a total basket case. If the Crypto owners stay next season, they'll be favourites to go down purely because they have as much stability as a jenga tower in an earthquake.

Would think Carlisle and Barrow further without looking. I was more happy as Crawley look like they’ve got good implosion potential for next season and could take up 1 of the relegation spots!
Edit - Andy beat me to it.

Would be good to see MK come down and then disappear out of the league.

A local derby next season against Woking or Bromley remains a possibility as both are guaranteed play off places.

Don't forget Barnet, who have also qualified for the play off and geographically are as close as Woking are to us. Of course the final play off spot is currently occupied by Boreham Wood, who were considered close enough to be a local Xmas derby when we were in the National, although I can't imagine anyone associated with Sutton wants them playing in L2 next season.

I do. Very easy journey. Rather go there than Hartlepool.
