It really, really, doesn't depend on the referee.

I have never bought this must win, with various games, with so many games left. The real must, is that we must find winning form, be it this game or any other game. This next game is a must win as all of them are now, peticuarly as we are at home, and of course as it will also guarantee Colchester dont get any points. I think we can win it but it depends on the referee and if we take our chances. It would also be handy if we do not gift them any goals.. I don't think "depends on the referee" is relevant. Refs make mistakes time and time again, but I hope there isn't an implication here that "refs are against Sutton" because that of course would be nonsense. We just have to score more goals than Colchester. That's all that matters Given our appalling record with bad decisions this season, I am very nervous that it will indeed be a factor tomorrow. This game will likely be similar to the Doncaster game, cagey and tight with them seeing a draw as a better result than we will. So while we clearly need to start playing well and winning, thus putting more in our own hands, I fear with any close games, the referee will be a factor.

Maybe as a wind-up, Colchester have let Conor Wilkinson do a pre-match interview. 🙄 If he and Ali Smith both score against us, who gets our hat-trick?

Most probably a goal each for Jackson, Sowunmi and Eastmond who are all ex players for us! (Col U) I doubt either side will score many goals, the 1st one will be key and then it will be backs to the wall stuff for either side, it won't be pretty, we don't score many goals but our defence has tightened up and we have a very decent midfield.

Drinking at the last chance saloon. Let's hope we're thirsty.

This is no particular reflection on the team's performance today but I am going to call us as 'down', now. I know, 'mathematically...' and 'points still left to play for...' and so on. But I look at the table and all I can see is relegation. Tant pis.

Very frustrating, feels like a loss that, yes some good approach play but yet again just not the quality in the box, and that penalty just sums our season up. Easy for me to say but should have smashed it down the middle. Now we need a miracle because colchester were very ordinary and at home really should be winning these matches, so like I said very very frustrating.⚽️⚽️

It looks like Dean has played his last game for Sutton.
No Omari P as well.

Wouldn’t say that re Dean, or possibly Patrick.
It’s just Steve tinkering again. Clay and Coley got the nod today, from nowhere.

WTF …. and to think I thought getting rid of Matt was a good idea . Seems like a very poor decision now , unfortunately both for him and for SUFC .
Thank you EFL , it has been a great experience and one that I have loved but we must now go back to the non league for another 100 plus years .
For the deluded on this forum ……… we gained another point today , have still got 36 left to play for so even the play offs are not out of reach yet 🤪🤪.
