Ok, just to be clear, If we are referring to the players and staff, then of course they cant mope around thinking of bad referees. I will agree with that, they need to crack on and work on what they have control over. But as a paying spectator, I think differently. Lets make up a scenario. We go to last game of the season. a poor team, no cutting edge up front and second from bottom because we have been a poor side most of the season. We must win 1-0 to stay up. We batter the team, hit the post 4 times. Then in the 95th minute have a shot in the box blocked by a persons hand, which is stone wall penalty. but the ref does not give it. Did we draw the game 0-0 because we were poor up front?, or did we draw the game 0-0 because we were poor upfront and we had a poor ref who cost us at the death? My answer would be the latter, and if it happened more and more then its a problematic situation. Presumably, on previous scenarios, we drew the game 0-0 because the Ref was on a backhander from the opposition? But, I do not understand. Why all the imaginative scenarios? Where we end up is the aggregate of all the events that take place during the course of the season. The vast majority of which are our responsibility. And luck evens out. Other than VAR for all decisions at all levels (which is still Ref based) what is your solution to this? Refs will sometimes make errors. So, what then? No Refs? Ultimately I don't see where this goes to. I have no idea if there are back handers going on, if it goes on, or if it does not. My previous scenario was used to address the fact that just because a team is poor it does not mean they should not complain about consistent poor refereeing. As for VAR. I do not have to have all the solutions in order to point out deep flaws. But personally I think VAR is done poorly. They should adopt an approach more like cricket replays. with the captain having 3 appeals, or something to that nature. As this would also solve the crowding around the ref issue. For example, our first ungiven penalty yesterday, Harry informs Eastmont that it was a Penalty and we appeal, the ref or fourth official looks at the replay pitch side, and recalls the decision. If VAR should improve I would 100% support it after this season.

I do not know where to start with this shite post because it made me so angry . Yes there are 36 points still to play for ( did you need a calculator or did mummy help with the maths ? ) but many of us supporters question how many of those we will actually get by the end of the season , not enough unfortunately I believe on current and past results and form . Now my believing this and accepting the likelihood of us going down does not make me any less of a āsupporterā than you matey . Just a realist . So accept that some of us have accepted what is likely to happen . We are not smug about it nor are we happy about it . Nor will we stop giving our support to the team and the manager because we are real supporters and not just āsupportersā as you so rudely claimed . I can assure you there are supporters who would like to go back to the Non league game but most of them are living in the past! The Non league game is also changing. Unless you slip right down back to the Ryman's, which is also seeing more teams go under.

To expect us to go on a run of wins when we havenāt won since last year is optimism in the extreme.

To expect us to go on a run of wins when we havenāt won since last year is optimism in the extreme. I get that but footballs a game of fine margins - we should have had multiple wins in recent weeks (think Doncaster, Wrexham and Saturday against Colchester) but it hasnāt happened. Thereās still a spate of games left that we could pick up wins against.

Not denying that we can still stay up until mathematically impossible or other sides get a points deduction but I would never bet on a two legged horse winning the Grand National.
