We were good. New guy Norwood very impressive and was the catalyst. Excellent performances all round though, play like that and we'll be hard to beat. Expected more from Wealdstone seeing as they'd only lost one league game - hard to tell whether they were just plain awful or whether they weren't allowed to perform! Let's hope it continues Tuesday as we need to get a string of results together, the potential is there. Could have been a fair few more!!

Great performance, brilliant stuff.Norwood was absolutely superb,he ran them ragged .The only sour note was Gargan being picked as man of the match.
Normally i would agree with the scorer of a hatrick getting it but what game were you watching ? Norwood was brilliant, head and shoulders above anything i've seen round there in a long time.

Superb match with some lovely strikes. Hopefully entertained the kids that came today. It puts us fifth in the table with the second-best GD, 3 points behind Kingston Ian and Canvey with 2 games in hand, 8 behind Hastings with 3 games in hand (let's forget about Dartford!).
Oh and before Vern gets in, there should not have been nor was there ANY bloody segregation!

I know 'Stones were missing a couple of players and then lost 3 through the game but they wre 2-0 down before any of that happened. Superb performance, best for sometime, although I would say best for 50 years might be stretching it.
Great goal by Pouts, brilliant move for the second, ripped them apart for the third & fourth & Wattsy poached the 5th. Great hat trick by Sam Gargan but the whole side were in great form. Phillips everywhere, Pouts outstanding again; the back 4 solid, skip was magnificent again and James supeb on the left all afternoon. I also thought Steve McKimm had a very good game & Andre Costa looks a great signing too.
Well done to all for an o/s afternoon.
Dartford lost at home to Hornchurch, while T&M got back to winning ways at Bognor (3-0). Another tough game Tuesday - weather permitting.

Sometimes you just got to step back and say that was a top drawer performance with a scoreline that did not flatter us in any way, maybe it should of been 2 or 3 more? The movement from midfield through to our forwards was the best I have seen since Bailey, Nurse and co, it was spell binding at times. I would not want to pick a MOTM because they all deserve it, CT, JN, Sam superb hatrick, AP brilliant in the middle etc but I want to mention DP was that his best game in a U's shirt?
Wealdstone have been showing some cracks recently so maybe not the side that beat us earlier in the season, but they just did not know which way to turn all afternoon. Tooting will come to us full of confidence and if we turn up again Tuesday and do that to them Dos may well achieve his 2 season aim.
Performance: 10/10 Match Rating 5/5 MOTM: All of em in yellow and one in Green.
Best home performance since Sutton 5 Hx 1 Season 03/04 I reckon and similar game too???

Well certainly the performance of the season. Agree with all of the above, except "sour note being Sam voted man of the match" - come on billy, I wouldn't have liked to pick that today, it could have most of the team, and hardly a decision which could ruin a match now is it?
The best thing for me is from the very first minute we went for it and didn't stop. We made one of the better teams in the division look really poor - its was a huge performance where everyone did their part - and did it perfection. Today we could have easily taken on any team in the league and won, and would have at least got a replay against Hereford no doubt.
Our 3 home league victories have been 4-0, 4-1 and 5-0 now, and and apart from Dartford, its we've only lost by the odd goal when we have lost at home. With a massive boost to our goal difference, we are getting ourselves in a strong position and if my calculations are right, back in a play off spot, all the teams above us have played at least 1, maybe 2 more games. At this early stage we are back in control ourselves, and some big results in a long december programme could put us back in contention. Dartford losing today, and not playing very well over the last couple of weeks, its not too optimistic to think over the course of the seasan they can be caught. We have to make sure we are the ones to do that!
C'mon Sutton, what a day!!!
