Having had a brief look at the Wrexham forum consensus seems to be that resting some of their first choice players is a possibility.
We have a chance to win this, they need to hopefully be more focused on their title push and if they're off the boil and play under their potential, whilst we have a stormer I can see us having our name in the hat come Monday morning.

They going top of the Conference is the best thing that could have happened to us. Especially as they've just had a lot of games. If we are beaten, then it's hardly a disgrace. But there is ALWAYS a chance, as those of us with memories remember well - and i'm not just talking about 1989. Those of us who remember going to Adams Park in 93 for what I think was one of the best Sutton games I have ever seen against Wycombe, will remember very very well, and fondly!
Our record under Dos against nonleague teams above us include wins against Hampton and Kettering, and a draw (followed by a replay defeat) against Eastleigh.
Ignoring the SSC (Sorry duke), no opposition player has scored against a full strength Sutton side in 491 minutes (give or take stoppage time) of play.

I think we do, but the key is not being wasteful with chances. I don't think we are going to get 20 chances at scoring so if we get them we have to do something we have not really done all season and that is bang em in. I will have no complaints if we get beaten by 4 or 5 by the better team, but will be really miffed if we go out 1-0 because we couldn't take our chances? Just seen the odds, we are 5/1 to beat Wrexham and they are 4/1 to win the trophy

50 years ago, coming off the back of the dreadful 62/63 winter and a month of cancellations the U's played their first game of that season's Amateur Cup on 16th February and played a series of back to back ties to reach the final on 4th May, the club's first visit to Wembley.

Heading down on Saturday to do some commentary for the Wrexham site. We probably will rest one or two players but we should still put out a reasonably strong team and, as the game last night showed, we have a group of players who want to play for each other and never give up. Likely we will play 4-3-3 and you should get to see Cheesy play.
What can you tell us about you lot? 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 or ? Players to watch? (Seemingly mot your strikers!) although you haven't lost many. Anything else to help the poor commentator?
One of your ex-players, Stuart Hammonds, is coming to report on the game for the NLP I think.
Notice the weather forecast is for snow/sleet on Saturday so will need some hot food at half time. What is the food like (ours is crap!)?

What is the food like (ours is crap!)? If you were the REAL motty you'd know all about GGL We play a variety of formations depending on the opponents really - we've had quite a bit of 5-3-2 recently, but have been known to go 4-5-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3. Quite flexible really. Players to watch - well one you won't miss if he's fit is our man mountain in the centre of the park, Craig Dundas! But plenty of others too. Couple of options for hot food, theres the burger hatch next to the main stand which does good food, and then the famous Roses tea hut (run by the supporters trust) on the other side of the ground for hot dogs and pies. Both do a decent level of grub, you certainly won't go hungry. Hope you enjoy your visit down, just not too much

Cheesy (Cieslewicz) and Rushton - if they start - could be the players we need to watch. Both seem to be quick with the former possessing a few tricks.

A lot of work has been done on the small area of the pitch that was holding water and this should dry out, the new perforated pipe installed under the area should also ensure that the forecasted light drizzle for Saturday morning will drain away as the other 95% of the pitch has during the wettest year for however long.
The qualified opinion is that there should be no issues.
