Thank you Honsec. I hope you are right.
I shall now pray for nothing more than 'light drizzle'

The BBC weather forecasts are now reporting there will be no precipitation until kick off - and then light sleet/snow.
Other weather related websites are saying there is currently a 50% chance of rain/sleet/snow on Saturday too. I think more of an issue could be Tuesday if we play CC - temperatures set to drop even more and could well be a frozen pitch.

I meant to add that the small area has already dried significantly, having been disturbed to lay the pipe and shingle and three groundsmen were on site this afternoon further repairing the area. I think we need one of those ever-popular 'Keep Calm' signs for some posters!

According to the Sutton Guardian (apologies if this is old news and I missed it on twitter etc), Harry Beautyman is on trial at Exeter. If it works out for Harry, lets hope he goes out on a high.

I've just had a look on the Sutton Guardian website and can't find anything on this. Not on the club's or Harry's twitter either
Link please!

Link? Sorry but I am a Luddite and read it in the paper. Headline of article is 'Beautyman's trial by City' and it quotes the man himself.
I hope that helps

I don't live in Sutton so I can't pick up a copy. I'm guessing that they'll have it up on the website soon

I do find that what's on the website isn't always in the paper and vice versa. There is a story about Harry trialling for Exeter in the printed copy as Mark said. But they have yet to sign him and this has always been on the cards. We just have to wait and see what happens next, and hopefully it will be the best thing for the lad. Obviously we'd be disappointed if he went, but to be honest we had a season and a half of a player who's pretty much been too good for this level, so we could count ourselves lucky!

I must say i'm slightly surprised that we have kept hold of him for as long as we have, i thought someone might have come in for him over the summer.

Saturday should provide Harry with the perfect opportunity to demonstrate his abilities against full-time opponents. If he does sign for Exeter, he could well find himself up against Wrexham in the Football League next season. On the other hand, I've noticed that Exeter have a habit of loaning out their young players to non-League sides - like, er, Dorchester.

Hi I am a wrexham fan who will be travelling all the way down to the game on our fans coach, Mozza (our gaffa) will name a strong team as we need the money and want to get to Wembley for the first time in our history and we are confident of winning the competition and the league. Trust me, we are up for this game and tiredness is not an issue with us being a full time team who train near enough every day. We will also play a full team as we then have a weeks rest before our next league game away at lincoln city. We are missing our top goalscorer, he got sent off at alfreton on tuesday night after two yellows. But nearly every player has scored goals for us this season, they are coming from every where! Our left back has even scored 6! We will have about 200 fans there i think, we have a big following based in London and some fans are going for the weekend making the most of it and we have a coach going from the racecourse ground in wrexham which i am on at 8am. Good luck in the league this season, just not this comp haha

Would you accept three bags of stale crisps, the 26p that got thrown at our players when we played Newport and a signed photo of Mark McGregor circa 1996 for his services? If so, can we have him?

I think it might take a tad more than that. Beautyman was reserve team captain at Leyton Orient but they released him in 2011 and he signed for us. He scored thirteen goals from midfield last season, though has only managed four so far in 2012/13. He's still tipped for a return to the pro game.
Although Wrexham will be favourites to win this tie, our manager will have done his research on the visiting team. He's had them watched at least twice and will have a pretty shrewd idea of what to expect.
