I see that Wrexham have a Conf Prem game at Alfreton tomorrow night which will be their immediate focus.
We don't have a midweek match which may give us a slight edge in terms of freshness and preparation.

I believe Dos will have them fully prepared.I am hoping we don't show them too much respect because after all this is a winnable tie although i wouldn't like to make any predictions. I'm hoping that the good folk of Sutton come to GGL in their numbers to support the team.

Looking at their record, they beat Northern Prem side Rushall Olympics 5-0 in the 1st round, and then beat Solihull Moors 3-2, who almost have an identical record to us in the Conf North. They went 2-1 down in that game (which Wrexham were at home) and needed a penalty to complete the win.
To be honest this is a bigger game for us than them, having only been the 3rd or 4th time they've taken part in this competition. That could be a big boost for us. I think our players will need less motivation than theirs...

Am I correct in thinking Wrexham can claim up to £1000 in expenses for their trip down? As they are coming on Friday I assume they will claim the lot!

1st trip to Gander Green Lane on Saturday, I'm not a Wrexham fan by the way just been following the FA Trophy. Saturday will be my 8th match on route to wembley. Started at Carlton Town FC and followed the winners since. Saw Wrexham against Solihull in the last round, their left winger 'Cheesy' was a class act. Think they played an slightly under strength side but they should have been more comfortable. Looking forward to the trip down, and hope for a good match. If it's an good omen for you I've not seen the same team win twice yet.

I hope you enjoy the trip, Frankie. And that you get to see us more than once! Wrexham won 2-1 at Alfreton this evening which means we'll be playing the Conference leaders on Saturday. (Grimsby's game at Gateshead was called off.)

Looking forward to visiting Gander Green Lane this weekend for what will be my first Trophy game.
I hear you're having problems with your pitch; do you think the game will go ahead as planned given some rain is forecast?
Given how we've approached the Solihull and Rushall games, I'd expect a strong side to play. There's £8k in prize money could also make the difference between bringing in someone decent in January and not - our manager Morrell said we can't compete on wages with the likes of Grimsby, Luton, Newport and Forest Green.
We will be without top-scorer Danny Wright though as he's serving a one match ban after getting sent off last night.
So I'd hope that we'll be going for it and it should be a decent match.

The Met Office forecast for the next two days is for it to be cloudy but dry in London. There is some rain expected on Saturday but only light stuff. So I think the match will go ahead. However, somebody from the club may want to update us on the state of the pitch.
As I said when the draw was made, neither side would want a replay so I expect an open game. Wrexham may be without Danny Wright but our strikers have been struggling to find the net all season. Maybe they will be inspired by the occasion - it's happened before!
The last time we played a Conference Premier side, in the FA Cup last season, we won 1-0. But our opponents in that game, Kettering, were a side in decline. Wrexham will be a different proposition.

I wanted to find out if possible to buy / reserve 2 tickets for the stand this Saturday ? A friend of mine has emailed the club but has not heard anything yet and has also left voicemail. I don't usually go in the stand so am not sure about these things.

What time do you expect to arrive?
If you get to the ground before 2.30 you will have no problems. I doubt the stand will be full.
