I see maidenhead who have lost their weekend fixture against rotten borough are talking of suing for loss of income. Good luck to them. Every home fixture is part of the budget and any loss of projected income hammers the cash flow and the fact that the fault is clearly with rotten borough should give clubs solid ground for action and maybe the league will back them as well. Maidenhead manager and fans rightly going nuts at being caught in this pantomime

Rottenborough miss another deadline.. www.footballconference.co.uk/news/details.php?news_id=10557It appears from the statement that they are not actually members of the league at the moment and it also looks as if they now have yet another final deadline on next thursday to comply with the league conditions or they are out and that's the end of it....possibly Still hard to believe that the league have allowed this to drag into the first month of the season when it could all have been dealt with in the close season and another team given the opportunity to start in the South without all this aggro and disruption Incredibly, there are still fans on the Boro forum who think this is some of vendetta against them by the league despite the circus that heas been played out since they engineered there way out of last seasons points deduction. Absolute madness.

Two million to complete a modest stand that is already up and out of the ground, the whole shell built and just needs fitting out? Somethings kicking up a stench way out west. Once a building company drops anchor on a job like that it is impossible to get them back without barrow loads of hard cash up front. A Hayes fan told me last season down at Woking that he would be amazed if their new ground was ever finished, I thought he was joking. What a carry on.

With all the different things that clubs can be docked points for these days, surely the League must penalise Farnborough (heavily) for failing to meet conditions for membership in time for the start of the season and frankly bringing the league (and the game) into disrepute.
The league must have some duty of care for all its member clubs - and it cannot be right that a club like Maidenhead can be penalised, through no fault of its own, because Farnborough is at best a shambles and at worst blatantly abusing the system.
Clearly the Farnborough fans aren't to blame - but their club is a disgrace.

You can understand, or maybe you can't I guess, the League giving them every chance to sort themselves out but it's all got a little out of hand to say the least!
Had 'Boro gone at the start of the season then would Thurrock have got a reprieve as well as Carshalton? Could have saved a lot of mucking about with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

This is the latest club statement :
In light of the postponement of this weekend’s match versus Eastbourne Borough the club would like to make the following statement.
There has been some criticism at the lack of information regarding the conditions imposed on the “Newco” by the Football Conference to attain membership to the Football Conference.
We are all frustrated as we enter another weekend with no fixture for the club, but supporters must appreciate that this is a matter between the club and the competition and not for discussion in any public forum.
When officials of the club met with the Football Conference last Wednesday, it was made clear that a deadline of 5pm on Thursday 5th September 2013 was set for the “Newco” to satisfy all criteria for membership of the Football Conference, this is clearly the defined cut off date for compliance although the Football Conference did give us latitude that if we could get the conditions met earlier that they would consider allowing us to commence our season ahead of the September 5th.
The club have worked extremely hard to satisfy the requirements, but unfortunately failed to have all criteria met at the imposed deadline of 5pm on Thursday 29th August to allow this weekend’s match to take place.
Responses and evidence to all of the issues raised have been submitted to the Football Conference and we await their feedback.
We would like to clarify that these issues are all in relation to the “Newco” becoming members of the Football Conference, the competition have stringent regulations relating to membership requirements and they have a duty to ensure that all member clubs are compliant ahead of acceptance into their competition.
We look forward to finally getting our Skrill South 2013/14 campaign underway and thank you for your continued patience and support at this time.

One of the many conditions is being able to guarantee hot water for the showers. This comes back to the infamous illegal gas meter scam and from what I can make out even that hasn't yet been resolved with the gas company. The club were right to warn us today that our home game in two weeks time is well and truly in the balance. No way should our club and the rest of the league have been put in this insane position when it all could and should have been resolved in the close season. Roll on Thursday 5pm when this farce should be put to bed. Unless the elastic deadline is going to get another hefty twang.

I see from today's NLP that Farnborough are abandoning the silly name changes for their squad, who will thankfully revert to their given names. It seems that this is one of the conditions laid down by the Conference for re-admitting the club to league membership. Paddy Power are hanging around as sponsors and the Cherrywood Road stadium is being renamed Paddy Power Park. Doesn't have quite the same rural ring to it. And no news on that gas meter....

The club does not lose out financially and we will play a side short on match fitness. Financially and from a purely Sutton point of view you are spot on. Morally and with a wider viewpoint it is an absolute disgrace. I don't normally wish this on anybody (Carshalton included) but the lower down the league they finish the better as far as I am concerned.
