Ha ha, until the next self-inflicted crisis. Anyone who seriously thinks that the saga at rottenborough is over should seek help. I will be well pleased if we get our game and our gate money in against them - and I would bank it sharpish - but I can guarantee there will be plenty more twists and turns with the fraudsters and the gas meter thieves before the season is out. Every game they manage to get in now will have a twist of extra spice including in a weeks time down here.

From a purely selfish view I am glad the game is going to be on a week on Saturday as its the only game I can make in September!

Good timing for us. Should beat them comfortably but I wouldnt ever bet against Scrivs pulling off some top-class saves. Nothing against our current No 1 as he has bags of ability and his kicking is great but Scrivs was knocking on the door of Sutton keeper legend status in my eyes.

So it is possible he won't play.

I hear that Farnborough played Hampton & Richmond in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday and won 4-0. So they might not be quite as rusty as we think.

What a crap statement beating them comfortably is. They've got good players there and beat us in an albeit low key friendly just a few weeks ago. Beyond belief what some people come out with. They will be raring to go.

Geez you like a moan dont you, why dont you just come and punch me in the balls at the Farnboro game while you're at it. Rubbish, we should smash em, friendlies mean nothing and we should be hitting our stride, should being the operative word. Time and time again you see Eastern European and Scandinavian teams tear apart teams in European competition because their league started months back and the other team has played a few friendlies. Its all about competitive action, our lot SHOULD be much sharper and I back us to win comfortably.

I agree with Mark. My views on the antics of Day and his mob are well known almost to the point of obsession and of course it's a nonsense that a club that wasn't allowed into the league until a month into the seson have had no penalty levelled against them despite the fact they have dicked about a whole bunch of clubs they were supposed to be playing. However that's the business side and the football side is a different matter all together . Leave aside the paddy power stunt they still have a squad of decent players no matter what they are called today and they will have that " us against the world" mentality and the hope that clubs will expect them to be easy meat. The ultimate insult for me would be getting mugged off by them on the field as well as off it. I would also make sure the gate money is double secure when that lot are within spitting distance.

For me its just another game and I don't think the off field situation will change the sides ability. They looked a decent outfit with a good squad so they won't be pushovers and I expecting another typical tough fixture.

We played Truro at home last season who were clearly bottom and we had the mentality that we were going to smash them. What happened? We lost 1 0. They have better players than Truro had and speaking from experience last year any team we took for granted we lost to. We're one of the favourites but we have to prove we match that billing. Nothing wrong with going to a game expecting to win (I well remember a season a few years ago going to games expecting to lose) but match sharpness or not I expect it to be a much tougher game than the staines match was.

Why is it some people cannot tell the difference between voicing an opinion and having a moan especially when it is the absolute opposite to the one they commented on? It's a forum that's what happens on them. It's what the Romans used to do at The Forum a few years back. As for punching you in the bollocks what's that all about? Over reaction, irrational or what? And why at Farnborough are you not going to Tonbridge tomorrow? I hope we do smash 'em but I'm not sure it will be as comfortable as you think it will and that is my opinion not a moan.

Agree but this is a Farnborough thread. There is another thread for tomorrow's match! Ha, ha.
