I think the person who put the Thames News clip up is great. Oh yeah....it was me. Now who is being pedantic I found it and posted it because the owner couldn't be bothered

They did. I distinctly remember a league game there in the late 90s where my friends and I arrived early, before anyone was on the gates, and accidentally wandering into the ground itself. A steward doing some sort of pre-match safety checks saw our Sutton colours and kindly told us "this is the home end, I'll take you to the away part of the ground" and led us across the corner of the pitch to save us going all the way out of the ground and back in. We repaid his kindness by "forgetting" to pay our admission... Later I bought some chips and the guy forgot to take my money for those too! That was probably, but possibly not, the same league game where the home fans spent half the game chucking conkers at us through and over the fence that segregated us. So yeah, they've definitely segregated us for league games there. LOL, great story Are they now at the same ground as they were before folding in 1992?

According to Wikipedia it's been the clubs home since 1927.

From what I'm aware of, it's the only ground they've ever had, playing there since their initial formation in 1927. Officially of course it's been two different clubs that have played there of course, and of course where Spencer Day of Farnborough made his name by "saving" the club in 1991

Seems there will be live commentary on BBC Radio Surrey tomorrow www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/13629210 (The irony of course is that Aldershot is in Hampshire). Lucky we tick the Surrey box then....

Maybe U's fans should stick to the excellent SUFCtv commentary service. Incredible that a station for Surrey will cover a club in Hampshire over a club in Surrey!!!

Radio Surrey coverage is described as live updates from Aldershot and Maidenhead, along with music & features - so not Live coverage then...

To stay in the Cup we need some strong individual performances today. No mistakes from the back four, no diving in, and a man-of-the-match display from Ross Worner please. Come on!

So we matched them really well today but didn't quite do enough, really disappointed but proud of the performance!

As Jose always says the best team lost and it was certainly true today. Excellent performance by the lads apart from the final ball! Shots had to make an early change to stop Tom rampaging down the right and it worked as the 19 had a good game. We didn't have one shot on target and they only had 2. We bossed the game for long periods and really should have got something out of the game.
There were a lot of shocks in the cup today and we should have been one of them.
I don't know what the stewards were on before the game. I bought a standing ticket at the turnstile only to be told when I got there that the terraces were closed due to health and safety!! Yeah they looked dangerous. Then there were too many fans to sit so they had to open the terrace before a riot started!!! It was a joke and an embarrassment.

We did play well but the Shots defence was too strong for our forwards, I don't recal a single shot on target. Their goal came from the best move of the game. Overall we should be proud of the teams performance everyone of them did us proud.

Well that was a really hard working performance from the Us. It's such a shame that probably our only defensive mistake of the game decided the outcome. The game should have gone to a replay, but if that's the standard on offer at mid table in the National then I think we can compete.
We did have chances to get something from the game, but our forwards were quite ineffective against a well organised Aldershot defence. The same to be honest could be said about us. This wasn't a capitulation like against Wrexham or Kidderminster, this was a good Sutton performance.
Special mention for Dan Wishart, who I not only thought was our man of the match today but I thought was his best game in a Sutton shirt.
Out, and by tomorrow not down.

We had our chances to win today, we just did not take them. Defensively we matched them error for error and tackle for tackle. We had one blocked on the line and missed a gapping goal towards the end. They were physically strong, they broke well but we had all the ability on the ball but took too many wrong options with our final ball.
A very good performance at the end of the day against a mid table national side, which I think shows why teams like Bromley and Dover are doing so well, because the bottom of the national isn,t that good.
One last thing organisation by Aldershot for this match was shocking.
