Fitchett could and probably should have buried that header at 2-0. I'd say that was pretty clear cut. I expect he will be disappointed not to have had a brace today.
He was fantastic however. Ran and ran!

The first fifteen minutes i thought Ebbsfleet were top class.
Kept getting a man over vs Spence and exploiting Betsy lack of sharpness early on with the lad running beyond him.
We looked slightly tense but we had a few momemts with promise drawing a good save from Ashmore.
The first goal killed Ebbsfleet it was almost like their early onslaught was do or die.
They didn't muster anything up after that of any real note and we got the penalty and sealed the deal.
Worner made his saves look comfortable where as Ashmore imo looked rather nervy.
As for Collins and Beckwith all i can say is SOLID!!. As a friend of mine said Collins reads the game so well.
It wasn't a great game but tbh these games rarely are.
On the train home the Ebbsfleet fans have given up hope already focusing on a possible trip to Truro.
Onto next week. Cannot wait...
Not a fan of the kids jumping over and charging about as players saluted fans though.

Well done Sutton, you have been on a fantastic run and continued that today. I think the score flattered you slightly, I would love to see why that penalty was given, maybe I missed something. Our keeper was at fault for the first goal, and should have done better. There were no clear cut chances for either side tbh. I was a little disappointed by the diving that your players continually did, I expected better. The referee was of the usual standard, awful. The pitch, well I hate plastic personally, for those that play on it on a regular basis, it definitely gives you the edge, regardless of your results at home, but that is no excuse, we didn't do enough to win. The title is yours, and deservedly so. Thank you, sort of. I think the dive of the day was the one your guy tried to earn a penalty. Stearn prob guilty of one for us. Plastic gives no edge, it is a nonsense to suggest so. Our record and performances away are far superior to our home one. Thought harsh on your keeper for the first there seeing as it went in the top corner from point blank range!

Our players diving?
I'm expecting to see your number 7 on the high board in Rio this summer doing the synchronised diving event with Tom Daley the way he went down in the box looking for a penalty in the first half.

Some teams adapt better than others to the pitch. The dive of the day was the penalty for you, that one was given.!!! I would have taken it, had it been for us, I just felt that your players were often falling over at the slightest contact on a regular basis.!!!!!!! As I said the title is yours, you did more than anyone else, well done.

What sort of attendance can we expect next week?.
You guys seem to get it right.
It felt great walking into that crowd today.
Nice to see Wishart standing with mates and fans btw.

Virtually all teams train on it and it plays better than grass. Good luck in the play offs, lucky you won't have to play on the plastic at Maidstone (where you played them off the park in the league btw).

Yep teams train on 3G alot more nowadays and the first 15 minutes suggested that as Ebbsfleet looked the sharper side.

Top drawer performance from our invincibles today, despite Fleet having the better of the opening 15 mins (something they normally do) defensively we held firm and slowly turned the screw. We had the better of the first half chances on what a very even half. The second half saw us pretty much in charge of proceedings, and we looked the more likely of the 2 sides to score.
I don't agree with the Fleet fan, I thought 2-0 was a fair reflection on the game, for all their talent and ability their final ball in to the box was very poor all afternoon for such a top class side.
Make no mistake about we are top on merit, and we are the best side by some distance in this league.

I see from TV guide that the Vanarama National League show is on BT Sport Europe HD/SD at 10pm tomorrow night. (SKY channels 414 and 433).
